Might was well make a thread to merge all terrorist acts into one thread. Seems as if there are so many terrorist acts going on at the moment.
Terrorist act #3 in a week for Germany. I wonder if they're going to be so gracious now to all the refugees piling into their country. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-36880758 An explosion in the German city of Ansbach, near Nuremberg, has killed a suspected bomber and injured 12 other people, three seriously, police say.
Can't find it here? It's all in the mass shootings thread. Good idea to have its own thread though, even if people don't get it.
Quite a bit of it, yeah. Of course, not all mass shootings are acts of terrorism and not all acts of terrorism are mass shootings. But there's plenty of crossover, and a term like "terrorism", whose definition we can easily manipulate, allows us to prioritize our outrage.
I was hoping the mods would filter the non-mass shooting stuff over here. Maybe I'm hoping for too much.
It has been discussed in the other thread, that most of these attacks are done by muslims who suffer from mental disorder and/or have lived a "sinful" life or done crime in the past ... This is also why I would like people to take a closer look at this groundbreaking study on criminal Muslims in Denmark : http://www.newenglishreview.org/Nicolai_Sennels/Muslims_and_Westerners:__The_Psychological_Differences/ It was just in the morning news, that 30% of the refugees who have come to Denmark, have been classified as suffering from mental disorder and psychological trauma ... We have already seen how difficult it is for people from the Middle East to accept our constitutional freedoms and adapt to Western culture, so placing refugees who are suffering from psychological trauma in a Western culture they do not understand and where they have no family to support them, does not bode well ... in my opinion.
Another attack has struck ... this time in a church in France where the priest is dead after having his throat cut, while nuns were taken hostage ... the attackers are now dead it seems, shot by the police : http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/07/26/two-men-with-knifes-take-hostages-in-normandy-church/
With the exception of 2010-12 (when Brazil benefited from Chinas surge in economic power and purely worldwide favorable economic conditions) those stats are nothing out of the ordinary Of course poverty rates can be reduced when you increase the tax rates of the average citizen in order to fund the social handouts given to the poor. Or increase the rates of public transportation and whatever else you can put a tax on while those corrupt politicians recklessly spend your tax dollars.
A liberal of today is someone who claims to be open to all points of view-and then is surprised and offended to find there are other points of view. The intelligentsia ("Redditors") have come to believe that their perspective is no longer a point of view but an objective account of reality that will brook no discussion.
... a right vs. left-wing debate based on Western values wont solve this problem ... you should do a real study of Islamic culture and then perhaps you may find a solution ...
Easily the best example: San Francisco Where left wing politics have complete control, housing is unaffordable, the homeless run riot, and the middle class is non existent http://www.westernjournalism.com/five-ways-san-francisco-has-descended-into-a-liberal-disaster/
I bet you supported Hugo Chavez too, look how well that ended up. It's no coincidence that every Brazilian has nothing but bad things to say about their government. But nooo short term stats are more important
http://www.bizjournals.com/sanfranc...03/san-francisco-quality-of-life-ranking.html Nobody denies there are problems, as in every big city. Yet SF is a very productive city and a tech hub that attracts creative people. Next?
I think you do, backed by science too. It's so easy to spot a "I'm better than everyone else" redditor. http://www.sciencealert.com/people-...mmar-mistakes-are-kinda-jerks-scientists-find
