I haven't been watching closely, but man it seems like Szczney has made so many errors that have lead to goals.

He needs to step it up or he will be on the bench. Perin looks a bit better and when the club went out and bought him that was a signal to me that maybe they weren't entirely sold on Szczney.

Benatia was terrible yesterday. The last two goals, he was no where to be found in the penalty area. The effort was not there from the side last night.

Reminded ne if last summer when Neymar waltzed through our "defense" as if it wasn't there.

He was awful in the world cup too, let in 5 or 6 goals in 4 games

I never watched him in England, but the announcer said he was known for letting goals leak in on text book saves

Szczney had a record last year of 15 wins 2 ties and 2 losses in 19 games giving up 6 goals and half of them were against Sampdoria in a 3-2 loss so before we write him off give him a chance.

Bernardeschi looked very ordinary in every match. He needs to step it up if he is going to compete for a place in this squad.

Bernardeschi just isn't good enough, I always said it. He's good for depth but not much else

Villar Perosa is getting ready to start. Allegri is starting a very strong lineup with:

    Sceszny (sp)
    Cuadrado-Snake-Chiellini-Sandro
    Berna-Bentacur-Can
    Dybala-Ronaldo-Costa

I really am hoping that Bentancur, and the management's faith in him and his readiness, is the reason we didn't move for another midfielder this summer.

That's probably optimistic to the point of delusion, but hopefully he'll be given even more serious playing time this season and he'll seize the opportunity to step up accordingly.
