Kane and Alli kind of obvious. Can't think of a LB to match Rose this year. Great that Toby is getting some recognition. He's been pretty immaculate all season. Love his goals too. Damn, that Spurs player of the year choice is going to be tough, innit?
the first 11 that have been playing of late all had very good seasons. add wimmer to that list as well, i'd say (tho I do believe Vert is clearly the better choice for now) davies was pretty solid if unspectacular nearly everyone else - mason, son, chadli, trippier, carroll, n'jie, onomah, vorm... you could say they had mixed seasons - some good matches, some not so good, and some with not enough minutes to really have a good opinion on and then Bentaleb.... he struggled. I don't remember a single time this season where I thought he had a good match. he may have had one, but couldn't have been all that memorable anyway. needs to improve to stay in the team. anyway - I still stand by my choice of Dembele as team MVP. I just think the whole team plays better when he is in the squad and playing well. but there really isn't a bad choice of 11 to choose from
Yeah the 11 starting the last 2 games are clearly our best. Like the comments said after Stoke, none of them should be sold not even for crazy money. If you had to think of one that was expendable, maybe Walker... Lamela has had off games but he's coming good now. It might be sacrilege to say it, but Alli can disappear for some games (thinking Liverpool... even that Palace game with the wonder goal he was pretty quiet for most of it). Well I'm nit picking now.
thing about Lamela that's been so valuable is his work rate and, he does a very nice job of picking a pass when he isn't under pressure. his finishing is subpar for the price, and he doesn't dribble or pass so well in the box, but he makes up for it in other ways. if he can pick up his game in the final third... well then
In order: 1 - Kane. Before he started scoring, Spurs struggled. 2 - Dembele. See Count 3 - Dier. Spurs are not quite as solid at the back without him 4 - Toby. 4th because his name is so bloody hard to spell 5 - Lloris. Because the top 4 are so good. And he should have been the PFA 'keeper.
I've had a look at a couple of different sites that do a pretty good job of aggregating all the ITK, and neither has anything about it.
It's Ousmane Dembele, the French teenager who's racked up some pretty impressive goal and assist stats this season. Not our Mousa, or Fulham's Moussa. I think we should be buying the other two. They're both good young players, and it would piss commentators off no end when we played Kane supported by Dembele, Dembele and Dembele.
