Draw for all 34 rounds of Liga NOS 2018/19 took place today.

We start off at home to Tondela. Benfica with a trip away to Maritimo and Porto at home to Rio Ave.

On Matchday 3 is the first derby (right before the SCP elections) - Sporting vs Benfica.

We face Porto at home on Matchday 7.

EDIT: Also, Bruno Fernandes won Player of the Season

So, because the presenter presented one of the numbers upside down (9 instead of a 6) the draw is being re-done...

    ... only in Portugal

So the new draw has Moreirense vs. Sporting in Round 1.

Round 3 will be Benfica vs. Sporting (previously it was at Alvalade)

Round 7 will be Benfica vs. FC Porto

Round 17 will be Sporting vs. FC Porto, which means the very last league game will be away at the Dragao...

Could be the next president if you believe the rumours he'll run.

Bas Dost likely out until first half of October. Peseiro said the recovery time would be 6-7 weeks. The player got injured on August 18th against Setubal and has not featured since.

Looks like we'll be stuck with Montero until then.

Just says its a muscle injury.

Good thing we have had goals from midfield and wings. Really should have signed another striker.

Hopefully Diaby gets integrated quickly, I'd rather see him over Montero.

Did the club's official Instagram really post an image of Misic rolling a joint/cig?

Wendel apparently demoted to the U-23 team for disciplinary reasons.

What a shame - it looks increasingly likely he's going to be another big money player we signed that either doesn't deliver or has a bad attitude. We really need to sort out our scouting and our academy for that matter.

He's never been given a chance. He played well in exhibition.

lol Peseiro is terrible at man management.

In just a couple of months he's ran out Geraldes and Matheus, benched Nani for something players do all the time, and now relegated Wendel.

I guess we will see who is coach next season. If we can get a deal for Leonardo Jardim, he is a coach that is not afraid to play young players and give them a chance.

As long as you know that playing young players won't win you a championship. Like I've said before,we did that for years. A championship team needs a solid veteran presence with some youth rotating in and out of squad to gain experience.

Yeah I get what your saying and your right - we do need maturity. We have that already, Coates, Mathieu, Dost. But Peseiro has been bringing on these players at the 90th minute, some of them don't even touch the ball. The guy is scared to play them sooner, he inspires no confidence.

Marcos Acuna extended his contract with us to 2023. His release clause stays at 60M euros.

Independent of whether he's been a good signing or not, the guy was one of the most targeted during the mayhem last season but didn't jump ship like the others.

I hope his performances improve to justify the price we paid for him. He has been on the argentina NT which is a plus.

Weird, done nothing to deserve a contract extension. Hopefully we can get some money back from him in the summer.

SCP announced today they have signed José Chieira to the scouting team as director. He's an experienced scout that has in the past worked at Porto, Setubal, Academica and Panathinaikos and also worked for us at one point with Aurelio Pereira. At Porto he is known to be responsible for scouting players like Alex Sandro, Alex Telles, Brahimi and Jackson Martinez.

Hopefully this works out for us, we need to up our game in the scouting department and Chieira is one of the strong names in scouting in Portuguese football.

Why did he leave Porto? All those players were excellent for Porto, but at the time they were very well known already and super expensive for Porto. Still, we definitely need a revamped scouting team.

Not sure why he left. Porto isn't exactly at their best right now in their structure. Lots of stuff going in the background.

Also apparently he's not coming as director, rather just part of the team.
