Rumor: The Shirt and Apparel Thread

The assymmetry makes me nervous.
I would have liked it better if it was placed centerally.

 

Not a fan of the way we let Adidas treat us like we’re the Oregon Ducks. We’re more like the Alabama of football and should have uniforms as such. They should just stick to white, purple, and neutral colors with normal fonts.

Something like the inverse of the purple 2016-17 jerseys would be nice. Like white with purple accents and a crew neck.

The Club World Cup logo looks fine if it’s in the middle. Would be cool to have a jersey with patches for the Club World Cup, 13 Champions Leagues, and 33 Ligas on it.

 

I think the greater year to year variety probably helps the club sell more shirts but I agree with you guys. Anytime there’s a dumb highlighter color involved like teal — way too Barca for me.

(Though I actually loved the 14/15 pink kit)

Great decision to be environmentally conscious. This should be a normal practice.

Eh, I'm all for environmentally conscious behavior, but not in my $90 shirt.

 

It's still very high quality. I don't see the problem. It's a shirt of your favorite team and it helps the environment. Everything should be made from recycled garbage.

 

We also did this in 2016. It rained and the sponsor "fly emirates" vanished. lol

 

It didn’t “vanish” or wash away. That’s the way it is supposed to look like. It was intentionally faded/pale. Here is what the 2016 kit looked like:

 

It's still readable in the pic though. During the game it was like we are playing without sponsor.

 

It’s because of the better lighting in the pic I uploaded. It’s the same otherwise.

Supposedly, Footy Headlines had these pics up for a minute or two, then deleted. So, these may or may not be accurate. Blue would make sense in the rotation though.

 

So now Footy Headlines is saying next year's kit will be white and gold.

I'd love this. The 2011-2012 home kit is my favourite Real Madrid kit of all time, along with the 2001-2002 Centenario one without shirt sponsorship.
