Really? Can Osako run at all anymore? Can anyone on Bremen (besides Rashica) run?

The biggest problem with this side is that Josh is one of the best pure athletes they have. They’re very unathletic for a Big 4 side.

Starts today up top! He needs a decent performance to keep his starting position.

Yeah Id like to see him score today. Or least check an assist. He needs to deliver on his coaches beliefs in his ability. Reward the coach Josh! We know you can.

Not a ton of offense going on. Josh with some nice hold plays but only 4-5 through ‘20 minutes and no shots.

Yeah, I think he's been fine with his hold up play and pressing, but hasn't really stood out in any way. And he just kinda bungled a half chance, though it was a tough bounce on the cross.

I don't think anybody would look good on this team. He doesn't get the ball and is playing more defense than anything. I believe he has quality, but this maybe the only YA whose team games I can't sit through.

Dull game. Bremen with the majority of the ball and most of the game has been in the Hoffenheim half but few real goal scoring opportunities.

Sargent has had some good touches and a couple of poor ones. A really nice pass to release Rashica on the counter.

Obviously nothing like a clear cut chance provided to Sargent.

I feel like this game is about par for the course from what I've seen from Sargent. The glass-half-full take is that he's young and doesn't look out of his depth playing in the Bundesliga, a feat made more impressive by the general poor quality of his team. The glass-half-empty take is that he doesn't really stand out in any way. If I were a Werder Bremen fan or coach, I'd want more from my striker than checking back to the ball and laying it off the midfielders and running around pressing when they lose the ball.

Agree that he needs to assert himself. He seems a bit out of synch with the rest of the attack, but as has been mentioned, this is an ugly game.

Did Sargent alienate his teammates or something? He has made some runs, and all are ignored in favor of shots fro 25+ yards out.

Well, that was an ugly goal for an ugly game. 1-0 Hoffenheim...and Sargent is off. So I'm released from my obligation to watch this mess.

osako on and gets played into space and promptly left with zero options besides a low percentage easily defended cross. the whole team stinks.
