Bremen has so many injured players (11 at last count), I don't think they have a full bench.

Man, I'm thinking that Dempsey was really lucky in landing on a team that needed him and couldn't really bench him for long but good enough to avoid relegation most of the time. I don't want to see what happened to Pulisic (sitting on the bench for two seasons) happen to Sargent.

He’s not a lock starter by any means, faded after 70 in his last game, played Tuesday night US time then flew across 7 time zones. Why in the world would anyone expect him to start this game?

Because plenty of guys have started in similar scenarios. Dempsey, for example did.
But my point was more in general than just this particular game.

Shambles at the end, Subotic off on a red, Sahin off on a red. All of this from 88' on.

Subotic 2nd yellow for Union, then, Sahin 2nd yellow for Bremen...! Two former teammates, 6 minutes added time.

And Cowfield got a yellow too. Sarge unscathed, but not getting much of a chance to shine with all the interruptions.

    Union getting close.

A bunch of reds and fouls coupled with Union missing chances to tie

Saying things like "[players] falling like skittles in a bowling alley", as players fall in the box like skittles.

That got rather physical, glad he came out unscathed

Did Kohfeldt get a yellow for his irrational love of JoJo Eggestein?

Bottom line: game a mess towards the end, Berlin dominated play trying to tie, and Red barely saw the ball.

Looks like Josh has paid Jonathon Specter’s mom to lay waste to Bremen with that sweet voodoo doll magic.

Osako also has a muscle injury and is expected to be out for about a month.

Bremen already had the longest injury list I've seen in a long time, so much so they were going to call youth guys to complete the bench. With Osako and Füllkrug out, now they only have 15 first team players available left.

What a drag. Fullkrug has really had bad luck with injuries. Time for Josh to step up.

Bremen's close to wishing they kept Aronjo.
