    Huh, i didn't know that story :D.

I bet that at that time no one thought that Zizou would be a Real Madrid legend and not a Juve one.

Positive part is that he will get Sociedad coaching job soon as they have a revolving door like most La Liga teams and we would have a better idea about how good he can be at the senior level.

I remember watching the game to see Zidane since he was getting a lot of hype ahead of the World Cup in France.

Slight twist of fate that I also didn't become a Juve fan.

People say he's not good with his feet but his most iconic saves were with his feet. There were two in that game, I can always remember them clearly.

I was there behind the goal. Just amazing display. I remember he cried so much after the whistle. people just couldn't get him to stop crying.

Ramos, Asensio, Isco, and Carvajal were called to the senior squad.

Just when it had started to look like Ceballos could break into the NT, Zidane back to crush dreams.

Not sure how Asensio and Isco are in there, I thought after the whole Lopetegui fiasco and Luis Enrique getting appointed that the Madrid players would be in for a rough ride.

They seem to play by decree like they do here.
Here is the guy taking over Lucho saying the level shown by Asensio in his last few games is sufficient to be in the National Team.

Everyone is making fun of him on twitter

Ceballos got called to the U21 Euros which in reality is more important than those two friendlies.
If he does well there like he did in the last tournament and does very well in another club like Valencia, etc.. he should get the call to the NT.

Reguillon is another who was negatively impacted by Zidane. He got the call to the NT the last time they played, when we were under Solari, but now that progress stalled and he was not called .

Llorente got called but the one from Sociedad..

Yeah but he already had his "breakthrough" at the U21 level. At this point it is neither progress or inertia, he's going backward. It looked like he was going to do some growing this season but that's been prematurely put to a stop.

Won't do us a damn bit of good if he turns it around at another club and becomes a fixture in the Spanish national team, will just make the club look silly.

"It's clear that it's the last match and we've worked hard in order too finish the season well," Zidane said.

"We want to give a good farewell to our fans, it's been a difficult year and we want to send a message to the fans that we'll come back with excitement and hard work so that they're proud of the players.

"We're going to give our all to change, I'm not going to say that we're going to win everything but we're going to prepare to have a great year, this I can assure you. It's been a difficult season and it's best that it ends."

I believe we finished the season worse than the 05-06 season when Flo stepped down.
