We're allowed to skip a round in order to play in this mickey mouse supercup. That's the new format, participants are allowed to skip a round.
Real Madrid could earn up to 11.5 million euros should they lift the Spanish Super Cup. [Marca]— Real Madrid Info ³⁵ (@RMadridInfo) January 7, 2020
Each team had 12,000 tickets to sell themselves, but they've been almost entirely returned for sale in Jeddah. Real Madrid sold 700, Barcelona 300, Atletico Madrid 50 and Valencia 25. [Marca] Awful. Team should boycott this pathetic event in the middle of the season somewhere in Arabia. smth
40 ME total revenue for FA apparently. https://www.marca.com/futbol/supercopa-espana/2020/01/06/5e136bbb22601d2a1a8b461a.html
Yea, 6 ME per year will go to grassroots development. Relano had an article supporting Spanish FA's decision to accept Saudi bid. https://en.as.com/en/2020/01/08/opinion/1578484783_308171.html

No FA has thought of scraping a super cup and implementing something like NBA all star week? Have an all star game, best skills, best free kick, best passer trophies, etc. I think it would make for a more interesting feature for a league. Could be done a week or two before a season starts.
Events like that can only be held at more civilized sports, and icehockey. Football is mostly about competition and winning at any cost. Fans don't care about anything beyond their team.
Real Madrid will face Unionistas de Salamanca in the Copa del Rey Round of 32 on Wednesday, 22 January. #HalaMadrid pic.twitter.com/devReGIYec— 𝗥𝗠𝗢𝗻𝗹𝘆 (@ReaIMadridOnly) January 14, 2020
I fcking love Copa Del Ray. Can't wait to see Vinicius, Jovic, Rodrygo, James & Militao start games. Vinicius-Jovic-Rodrygo James-Modric-Isco Marcelo-Militao-Nacho-Odriozola Areola
The tournament is a 1 match affair now, only the semi final is home/away. Won't be the way it was. After salamanca we're in the round of 8 where it will most likely be a first division team.
I still wouldn’t be surprised to see some rotations in those matches. Looking at dates: Round of 16 is on 29th of January Quarterfinal is on 5th of February we have the Madrid Derby in La Liga couched in between these fixtures on 1st of February. Zizou will gamble and rotate in the R16 for sure
Maybe but if the rotation 11 doesn't win the match, all these guys are getting cannonballed to the moon.
Sergio Ramos isn't ruled out for the clash against Sevilla, he's doing everything possible to be available for team selection. [@Marca]— Infinite Madrid (@InfiniteMadrid) January 15, 2020
