Hopefully this conversation will last a few weeks, instead of one long weekend. Post any logistical, preview and media info here. I'll start: Wigan v QPR Semi-final 1st Leg Friday, May 9 7:45 UK/2:45 ET US: beINSportsPlay.tv LIVE beIN Sports TV - tape delayed at 6pm ET Anyone in DC want to go on radio silence for a few hours and watch 'as live' at 6? I have some places in mind that would be able to accommodate us. Probably the best option since the other would be trying to find a stream during work hours. Let me know what you think.
Update! http://www.football-italia.net/48626/roma-juventus-moved-may-11 This should free up beIN Sports to show our match live at 2:45 ET. So the delayed viewing idea will most likely be scrapped. Not sure I can head out of the office early Friday, so may have to "watch" at my desk.
Great news. I'm still planning to head out early on Friday. If you're not likely to be able to get out and meet somewhere downtown, I'll likely head out to Arlington and catch it at RiRa, Four Courts, or Summers.
Maybe I'll try for a 'mental health' afternoon. Will keep you posted. Fado would be a good option for those who want to watch in the city.
FADOs is a good call. I think I will try and head over there to watch the game. I feel as though I'm going to be getting a bit of a head cold right about Friday afternoon! Ahem ahem
Confirmed! http://www.beinsportsplay.tv/schedule May 09, 2014 Wigan vs QPR Football League Championship 2:30 PM beIN Sports All soccer friendly bars will be able to show it live.
Monday's 2nd leg is set as well: Monday 02:30 PM English Championship SoccerFrom Loftus Road Stadium in London. Playoff, 2nd Leg: Queens Park Rangers FC vs. Wigan Athletic FC beIN Sports In DC, shall we just plan on Fado being the main meetup spot for anyone who wants to watch in a pub (Friday and Monday)? I'm helping a Danish Rs fan, here in DC on business next week, with some logistics. http://www.fadoirishpub.com/washington/
Yes. I will be at FADOs Friday. See you there. I will be coming from work , so won't be in full colors, which is a bit disappointing. Its hard to watch QPR without the shirt and hat. Oh yeah, and the 1970s silk scarves tied around your wrists!
QPR XI: Green, Simpson, Onuoha, Dunne, Hill, Hoilett, Barton, O’Neil, Traore, Morrison, Austin Subs:Murphy, Carroll, Yun, Doyle, Hughes, Henry, Kranjcar
I'm not going to be able to make it out on Monday. I have a 1:30pm Dr appnt and then a 5pm meeting. I'm just going to stay local and head over to Flanagans.
Oh man - that's a shame. Guess it will just be myself, my dad and and Torben (Rs fan in from Denmark).
@OfficialQPR XI: Green, Simpson, Dunne, Hill, Austin, Doyle, Onuoha, Barton, Kranjcar, Hoilett, O’Neil. Morrison on the bench. Hmmm.
@QPR Kevin H I don't know if you or anybody else will answer before the game ends. Do the Playoffs use away goals if the aggregate is tied?
The FA Cup does not use away goals. My son is a big QPR fan. I think it will absolutely devastate him if the do not get promoted this year. Come on QPR.
