Pep Guardiola has confirmed Taylor Harwood-Bellis (17) has been promoted to the first-team squad. PG: “From now on, he will train with us. Whether he will play or not, we’ll see. I saw in preseason. He is aggressive, he wins duels, he pays attention.“ [via @ManCity] Pep Guardiola on Taylor Harwood-Bellis: “The guys from the Academy spoke really well about him before preseason."
Think I also saw Spurs and Burnley are tracking Nathan Wood. Middlesbrough are fearing they could lose defender Dael Fry in January, if they receive an offer over £20 million.Manchester City are taking a keen interest in the 22-year-old, but he is also being followed very closely by Tottenham, Everton and Wolves.[@TEAMtalk] pic.twitter.com/SbdUR0ASOH— City Xtra (@City_Xtra) September 22, 2019

Spurs out of the EFL Cup. Bad news for Skipp & Tanganga as this was their main hope of gametime this season.
Hopefully good news for Tanganga cause he won't be conned into thinking he's got an actual future there.
Harwood bellis looks like a gem of a player. So good on the ball and at 17 is very good in the air/ physical battles
Why?? He probably didn’t have his best game tonight, but he is just coming back from being out ill. I think patience will serve him well. I can see him getting a lot more minutes this year. If he’s barely played in a few months then sure a loan would be good
Not to mention cool as a cucumber. Very impressive. A bit surprised not to see Doyle on the bench. Is he injured?
It's been reported none of Liverpool's starting XI from the weekend have travelled today, lots of youngsters in the squad.
Thing is this what I hate about Klopp's approach with young players. Rather than introducing one or two alongside 9 senior regulars, he just throws them and all the other players who aren't playing in at once. This generally means everyone is rusty and not match fit and as a result Liverpool get knocked out of the cups early. The young players are then banished until the cups start again the following season. Pep on the other hand makes sure he still keeps a core of first team players whenever he rotates which makes it a much easier transition for young players coming into the side.
There were reports before the season started that he's been told by the owners to forget about the domestic cups altogether and focus on the league.
There's no future for him at City. He's not in touching distance of Gundogan, let alone the two Silvas, who are of the exact same profile of player as him but are the absolute best in the world of it. He's never going to get enough game time this season to develop into a player that can convince Pep he doesn't need to replace David Silva in the summer. It's going to be another wasted year. Just watch.
No Gomes in the United squad for tonight, no indication as to why. Garner, Greenwood & Williams in though.
Luckily Gomes is out of contract at the end of the year. If United do keep Solksjaer then he'd be mad to sign a new deal given how little faith has been shown in him.

No future??? Despite the fact he signed a five year contract not that long ago and David Silva is leaving. Your jumping to conclusions. He’s not going to start every game this season - that was never going to happen. But if he starts all the cups games and say 10 prem games or he comes off the bench a fair bit that’ll be good enough. Theres always a mad rush to play them straight away and no patience anymore. If he’s not starting next season then fair enough he needs a loan
Is Herbie Kane injured? Shame he's not in the squad and he wasn't even in the squad photo. I wonder what the plans for him are because he would have improved alot of championship clubs.
