Disappointed with the lack of minutes for the man utd kids so far. Honestly, if they cant get on with these injuries its going to be a struggle (and no, coming on in the 90th min does count as trusting a player in my book)
I thought Garner might get 20 minutes today but I was also surprised not to see Greenwood on the bench. Sanchez going off would have been a golden opportunity for him.
Kind of early for them really, they're in a battle for the champions league. Garner is only 17, Greenwood is still extremely young and only turned 17 in December. Even the most forward thinking youth playing managers are rarely giving decent gametime to players that young, particularly not in position like central midfield. The fact they're around the squad is good enough progress for this season. Bed them in hopefully with a view to being more regular rotational players next season. Gomes is a bit of a different case, although given his slightness I can't help but feel a loan abroad would be his best pathway into first team football. Learn the ropes elsewhere and come back better equipped for English football.
Glad to see Reading getting the 3 points, played again with Ejaria Baker Swift in midfield, hopefully they can avoid relegation.
Nothing great or revealing but find it a bit funny. No real depth to the article. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/foot...twitter&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1551687573
It looks like at least one of Greenwood, Gomes or Garner will get minutes against PSG tomorrow. A baptism of fire if you like, but Solksjaer has no real choice - particularly if Man Utd are chasing the game. Unless he decides to bring on Rojo as a makeshift striker.

Has Brandon William played for England? He's looked very impressive when I've seen him for United this year, a very powerful runner with some good quality on the ball.
He hasn't, but there's often been a huge discrepancy between U18 talent at Man Utd and their England representation.
Less so recently: Gomes, Laird, Garner, Greenwood, Barlow, Mengi and Shoretire all have played in the same United age group at one point or another recently. I don't think Williams is far off the England squad in terms of quality, at least on this season's form.
Bit disappointed than OGS didn't use Gomes tonight, at least for 30 mn. I get the lack of experience , CL etc. But the midfield was totally dominated and couldn't make 2 passes in a row. He would have brought something IMO.
Greenwood and Chong were used you know so it's not that much of a stretch, but I was expecting this Jesus Christ God help me type of reaction
Sarri coming out with his usual lines when asked about CHO, ‘he must improve, I don’t know if he can play on Thursday any minutes because he needs to improve blah blah blah.’ Every time he plays, he shows a mature attitude and decision making with an end product. He’s the opposite of a headless chicken, yet Sarri never rewards him for it. Petty and stubborn.
Bad news for Longstaff - out for the season https://www.skysports.com/football/...ss-rest-of-newcastles-season-with-knee-injury
That’s a real shame, hope he has a speedy recovery. I don’t know what it is with English players and long term injuries. I’m sure other Countries get hammered too but just feels like it’s a constant recurring theme with our players.
After a call from a parent, I've taken the photo of the Man City U5 elite squad down. Point though is still relevant; adultification of 4-year olds, ones that couldn't tie their laces, barely read or write. Concerns also for the kids told they aren't good enough, at 4!!— Nick Levett (@nlevett) March 7, 2019 Is this the norm in football Clubs across England? Got to be honest, I know they start young but an Elite Squad at U5’s seems very extreme.
Yes, this is madness. The best two English u21 midfielders out for at least six months, really frustrating.
