Its a commendable but effort but... it just sucks. Lack of ideas. A long history of making football boots just for them to copy someone else.
Yes--just getting some used to compared to the synthetics I've used, but it also provides better protection than my nikes that I've had stomped toe nails and bruises on my foot that this trianer with the leather protects more. These look...AMAZING....minus that STUPID collar!! ARGGHH!! Way to ruin it....
Cool thanks! Oh and sorry to bombard you with questions.... but how wide is the soleplate? (eg compared to other Nike or Adidas turf shoes) I only ask because I bought some Akuna Turf shoes a while back and the soleplate was really narrow, especially in the heal area, so they felt really unstable. It was weird because the shoe itself was wide enough for me to get my foot into.
I got a pair of Pantofola d'Oro Sirios about two weeks ago. I read around online about the shoes running small so I ordered a 9 (usually wear a 10) and they feel good on my feet when I'm not moving, but when I move around my heel generally slips up and down. Everything I have read online says that Pantofola d'Oro cleats require some breaking-in time but after warming up for a couple of games in them (and then switching to my old Diadora cleats for the game), my soles always end up feeling awkward and slightly painful by the end of the warmup and then when I switch into the Lotto boots I have been wearing for 3+ years, my feet feel great. Do any of the Pantofola d'Oro veterans here think that I need to persevere and keep trying to break them in, or is it a lost cause? As I mentioned, the shoes feel fine and tight when I am at rest but when I walk or run my foot just doesn't feel good.
No problem! I wouldn't say the soleplate is 'wide', but my foot is pretty narrow and they fit like a glove. I will have to check back in with you though on how they feel in the heel. I didn't notice anything bad back there, but I will for sure keep an eye on it tonight during my game.
They feel very comfortable, but the soleplate is stiff at first. I would say they feel like a lazzarini. The tongue is padded. I prefer the colibris. The leather is softer and the soleplate is more flexible in the colibris
I didn't like how much padding the Colibri had on the tongue. Made the boot feel too bulky. That's a shame. They seem like really nice boots but I don't like to have that much padding. Thanks for the response!
I have recently purchased a pair of Impulso in Python as well. Love them very much. Unfortunately, I never have maintain leather boots before and definitely have no idea how to maintain the Impulso with the python pattern. How do you maintain these boots after a game?
If they are leather boots I presume you maintain them in the same way as any other leather boot? 1) Wipe the mud/dirt off with a damp cloth. 2) Leave them to dry. Let them dry naturally though - don't leave them next to a radiator or any other source of extreme heat. If you have been playing in the rain and they are very wet you can stuff them with newspaper to help them dry. 3) Apply some dubbin (or leather cream). Rub small amounts in using a soft cloth and a circular motion. 4) Play in them again then go back to step 1) You probably don't need to apply dubbin after every game if you don't want to.
Mate I have owned a few pairs and have quite skinny heels anyways and mine have always slipped a bit from day dot. A pair of trusox will help out a lot but I do a heel lock lace (real simple) and that seems to concrete them down enough. They do still slip a bit but because they are so soft I don't get and never have had blisters with them
damn! what are they thinking? No one who likes akuna likes this modern **** http://www.akuna.it/prodotto/cobra/
http://www.prodirectsoccer.com/prod...tificial-Grass-PC281610B48-White-162415.aspx? Just ordered these...finally a whiteout AG boot, w/a white outsole to reduce the heat on your foot when it is 115F on the pitch. It only took 8 years of me moaning about it for someone to have come through.
