Pretty sure he had years left on his contract but we just allowed him to go for free. Funny thing is he scored the winner for Sevilla vs us in the Champions League group stage that season. It was because of that result we finished second and had to face Bayern in the ro16. While Manchester City who finished first had an easy ro16 opponent.
Yes, he was still under contract and asked to leave, Juve released him from his contract. Since he asked, and Juve obliged, he left for free and Juve didn't have to pay what was left on his contract.
Like it or not, and I hate it personally, but Inter have done an excellent job assembling their team since the Juve Connection shows dup over there: https://www.calciomercato.com/en/news/inter-a-complete-defence-that-cost-less-than-caldara-69701
I think that is one area where we would have to concede that Inter are better than us. I would take a Marotta-Conte partnership any day over Paratici-Sarri.
Juventus are back down to second place after Conte won his game today, so far 5 out of 5 wining streak. And Conte hasn't lost a game since he took over Inter Milan, only wins or draws. I was rooting for Conte, too bad we didn't snatch him. I like Sarri, but I prefer Conte.
Mad Max just might be the coach PSG needs to take them forward once they get healthy: https://www.calciomercato.com/en/ne...mourinho-and-allegri-touted-as-possible-59550
LOL. And I can see this happening too. The merry-go-round at Milan will continue: https://www.calciomercato.com/en/news/milan-consider-sensational-return-of-gennaro-gattuso-73552
I recall Fernando Llorente posting a heartfelt farewell letter when he left Juve. I don't think he really wanted to go all that much and if he did, I'm sure he regretted it as he stated later on while he was at Spurs... Tottenham Hotspur Striker Fernando Llorente Says He Misses ... Napoli beat Brescia 2-1 and Balotelli scores his first goal!
Personally, I would rather have Pjanic as the base of a midfield 3 with Sarri. However, with Allegri, I would probably have the Broz.
I always thought Brozovic was an underrated player honestly. He is a very flexible player with some good shots on fairly solid defensively. Not sure if he is Juve quality or not, but I wouldn't mind signing him in the future at least as a backup.
Forty Two Years ago today, the great Pele retired from the game! For those of us living across North America, I don't think many of us will have really known about the game if It weren't for his arrival in NYC! How Pelé lit up soccer in America and left a legacy fit for a king
Not really the same type of player. Hard to say how Brozovic would do in Matuidi's role because he is really a completely different kind of player. A lot more defensive.
I could NEVER support that disgusting club Inter, even if they were the last team on Earth. ******** them and ******** them hard.
