Four years ago, some Dutch businesses arranged a match between Montserrat and Bhutan, the two lowest ranked teams in FIFA. It was called "The Other Final". Are there any plans to set up a similar game between Turks & Caicos and American Samoa this year? They are ranked 204 and 205 respectively (Comoros and East Timor are the newest FIFA members and are not ranked yet). I think it would be cool if they did this for every World Cup cycle. As I recall, the 2002 final was played in Thimphu the day before the WC championship between Germany and Brazil.
Well with fifa's rankings East Timor will probably be in the top ten I think it would be a good idea to happen again but im not sure if anything is happening or not
Montserrat I believe were invited to Germany they are/were the lowest ranked team and they'll play a couple of matches in Germany against a B-sides and get to experience the World Cup sort of.
