I am surprised given that Mourinho and Ake weren’t all that warm and fuzzy the last they were together in Chelsea... maybe things have improved since then. To his credit, Ake has undeniably stepped up his game since moving to Bournemouth, but I still haven’t seen a single game of Ake performing well against the Top 4 or 5 big guns in EPL. Maybe just me and my selective memory.
I havent watched many of his games so you could be right, but regardless I think moving to Spurs under Mourinho is a good move for him
Saw the goal scored by Boetius this weekend. I lost count how many players dribbled passed by to get to the goal and score.
El-Ghazi gets an assist and then picks up an injury in the process. At least he was able to walk off the field, so thats a good sign
groeneveld also played full 90 for bournemouth and mage a good impression as well. both El Ghazi and Groeneveld should be in the team for euros. club shouldn't be factor in Selection criteria.
Marc Dos Santos was fined by the league, for stating that “Players at the top level" don't have as much time off as they do in #MLS. Adding, “I’m telling you, three months and a half of a break in a soccer season is Mickey Mouse. It’s amateur.” #VWFCWhat are your thoughts? pic.twitter.com/7fw2ZhXb2I— Pulso Sports (@SportsPulso) December 4, 2019
MLS is a joke of a league. I go to a number of DC United matches each season and the level of play is often mediocre. When Klinsman was NT manager he said that players could only get better by moving to Europe. This is so true. Anyone of the top seven Eredivisie teams would win MLS without breaking a sweat. The league continues to increase the number of teams without any concern that the pool of good players is just too small to support a league of that size. Of course they don't have relegation and promotion so there is no crime in finishing bottom of the table. The only good thing is that there are some really nice soccer stadiums.
It are the Muslim countries that did it. Kosovo, Yemen, Saudi Arabia, the Emirates, Morocco and such. https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ballon_d'or_2019 Messi is btw a deserved winner I think but it's clear it is hard for our players to win this Eurovision song contest sort of thing.
Watched the second half of Bournemouth v. Liverpool. Heard that Ake was pulled out in the first half due to injury, and will be out for a while (until January?) Van Dijk was such a rock... had a couple encounters with the fellow Dutchman, Danjuma. Van Dijk easily won the battle, not even close. 'Pool also have their own defensive woes with CB Lovren sub'd out. With the busy period coming out, I wonder if Sepp v. d Berg will see some minutes. Klopp is never short of confident in his youngsters... today he introduced a highly-rated midfielder 18 y.o. Curtis Jones.
Memphis Depay is in excellent form so far this season despite injuries. 16 games in all competitions 13 goals 2 assists 7 goals and an assist in his last 8 games for Lyon. Lyon is charging up the table... now on fifth place, 3 points behind third-place Lille, competing for the UCL qualification spot.
Suarez has more power on his back heel than I do on my foot front... Btw, the industrious work of Frenkie leading up to that goal was something pretty cool to see as well.
He had an excellent game setting up the forwards. That pass to Griezmann that didnt result in a goal was sublime
