I suppose so, as the overall Rob Lowe-ness still came through. Same character, but different actor. That was likely a character the writers originally didn't plan on having on the show again but later decided that he'd make a good subject of an episode. Then the casting department got Rob Lowe to play him upon the character's return. That reminds me of Sylar from Heroes a few years back: someone else played him during the first half of Season 1 when his face was constantly covered in darkness and he never spoke, but then Zachary Quinto was cast as him and the rest was history, even so far as Quinto playing (and this time speaking) as Sylar when Hiro later time-jumped back to the moment Sylar first appeared in the diner so that he could save Charlie. -G
Now I wanna download season 1 of Heroes to watch again. That sequel series they did 2 years ago was horrible
Sounds good, though remember that Hiro's time-jump to save Charlie happened in a later season. I suppose that it was okay, but it's too bad that Hayden Panettiere didn't return to play Claire Bennet, so they stated that Claire had passed away instead. -G
This week marked the first of what I have since read is several cameos from actors from the Star Trek universe. That's pretty interesting. As was the episode, which was tense and frightening.
Last weeks episode had 2 Star Trek alumni, both playing Alara's parents. I actually really dug that episode, sadly there are only two episodes left this season. Hopefully it'll get a full pick up for season 2.
I thought that it had been picked up already for season 2. And i caught the doctor from Voyager being her father ... who was it playing the mother?
Yes it was picked up for season 2, what I meant was a full pick-up as in 22 episodes instead of just 13. Her mother was played by Molly Hagan, she played the Vorta Eris in the episode "The Jem Hadar" of Deep Space 9. She was the first Vorta we ever saw on screen. Btw, best line of the episode... "This is going to sound like I’m talking out of my ass—" "Then please try to enunciate."
This show is both fascinating and frustrating. The ending of the finale makes no sense. Ed would've done the same for anyone on the ship. At the very least, he'd have done it for Kelly whether they were "together" or not. If they were really concerned about feelings jeopardizing Ed's command, Kelly would have to go to another ship, but there's no way they're writing off Adrianna Palicki. (Texas forever!)
I was kind of hoping the ending would have Isaac leading a battalion of advanced warships against them for a good old fashioned season-ending cliffhanger.
