JULY 1 Aaron Ramsey moves to Juventus from Arsenal after expiration of his contract. Ramsey put pen to paper on a 4 year deal set to expire on June 30, 2023. Juventus will incur additional costs of €3.7 million, to be paid by July, 10th 2019.
Nothing official, but a lot of reports in Italy are disputing the BBC's reporting of his salary. Gab Marcotti's tweet is in line with what reports out of Italy are saying... BBC reporting that Aaron Ramsey will earn £400k/week basic salary at Juventus. Been told it's actually around €7.5m net which works out to £250k/week.As ever, can only go with what I'm told, but £250k/week sounds a hell of a lot more plausible. (If still rather high...)— Gabriele Marcotti (@Marcotti) February 11, 2019
The board would never have sanctioned the transfer if it wasn't something we could afford. And if this is the kind of money we can afford to pay for (potential) non-starters, then I hope it's just a matter of time until we can once again compete for the biggest names in world football even before or during they prime.
Multiple reports in Italy saying his salary will be €7 million a year, that falls in line with DiMarzio, Marcotti, etc.
It falls in line with what Juve is playing its top players. Salary figures reported in Italy are always after taxes. I believe it is the responsibility of the team to submit the tax payments. In England, the figures spouted are before taxes are taken out.
Yes, Italy reports salaries Net, in the UK it's Gross. Still, they're over reporting here, in the UK they're saying he's making over £20 million whereas the Italian press is saying it's more like €7-7.5 million, which comes to €14-15 million gross.
