Rather than focusing on one player, here is a glimpse of a pretty good U12 team at Surf Cup, Barcelona USA: http://blog.3four3.com/2012/08/14/u12-possession-soccer-development-barcelona-usa-fc-dallas/
It's nice to see a team play like this. That said, I think the difference in talent between Barcelona USA and FC Dallas El Paso is pretty great. I'd like to see how the game went between this team and Weston FC in the national finals. Were they able to keep their style against a team with a similar level of talent?
They just became U12. Surf Cup traditionally kicks off the new age groups (U11s moving to U12s, etc.). US Youth Nationals only have nat'l champs from U14 up. The U12s and U13s end at the regional level. However, this is a team (and a program) that bears watching over the next few years. I expect to see several players eventually move into YNTs.
Oops, I meant Nations Cup. Referring to this match http://blog.3four3.com/2012/06/02/barcelona-usa-versus-weston-fc-danone-nations-cup-final/
Is 12 "little kid" or does this kid get his own thread like Lederman and Pynadath? 12-year-old Chivas USA standout John Kenneth Xuxuh Hilton has caught the eye of Manchester City
14 year old, against top club teams in the Nation. Eric Valentine Calvillo .Club: PWSI 99 Red. D.O.B. 2-15-2000
This kid who got some publicity recently probably belongs in this thread... looks like he may be headed to Sevilla: Brooklyn soccer whiz, 14, moves to Spain for competitive youth academy
But the real reason I wanted to bump this thread is because I was wondering if there was any update on "Little Messi" whose videos were making the rounds about 3-4 years ago. This kid: I searched for Hassan Ayari on Youtube and they haven't added any new videos to the channel in three years: https://www.youtube.com/user/americanlife2000/videos I looked up his father Kamel Ayari's coaching website and there are no new photos or videos from the last three years there, either: http://www.ayarisoccer.com/index.php Does anyone with youth soccer connections in the New Rochelle NY area know what's going on with Hassan Ayari (he should be around 11 years old now) and Ayari Soccer?
He apparently plays for Hudson United FC's U13 team. https://home.gotsoccer.com/rankings/team.aspx?TeamID=316052
Thanks for finding this... I wonder why the youtube channel and website haven't been updated in so long... Wow, apparently his team is terrible: Games 28 W-D-L 8-4-16 Goals For 40 Goals Against 73 Goal Ratio 0.55 Win % 28.6%
Hassan Ayari - Aged 13 - Training with Man City, Burnley and Blackpool https://ukfootballtrials.com/success-stories/177 I wonder if any of the kids mentioned in this thread have had pro careers... I posted about Xuxuh in 2013, he might be the closest.
Just wanted to let everyone know that in the service of this thread I have fought down the urge to share the Instagram post of my son's first kicks on this thread. You're welcome.
We will allow a onetime age exception rule change for great posters only which DMN has unanimously been granted 'great poster' status. He is now allowed to post his son's first kicks in this thread.
Lol this article is from 2014, the kid at Sevilla, Noah Leeds, just called out US Soccer on twitter for never taking a look at him: When a young player goes to Europe they are overlooked by the #usmnt. Been in Spain for the past 3 years and fought my way to be the youngest American to play in Spain's highest youth division. Still NEVER been invited to ANY camps. No dual citizenship. 100 percent American. https://t.co/Z7B6xQIA3k— Noah Leeds ⚽️🇺🇸 (@noahleeds10) March 9, 2018
