And Matthew Loo is headed for 5th division club SV Seligenporten who play in Bayernliga Nord. https://www.mittelbayerische.de/reg...erliegt-der-djk-vilzing-21102-art1802035.html
I was looking at the Wikipedia page of Santa Tecla in El Salvador and this gentleman is listed as a US dual citizen: Jacobo Kattan Transfermarkt lists him under this name: Jacobo Miguel Moreno Kattan Born 1/21/97 TM doesn't list a US connection.
T'Markt says an '00 named Marlon Marishta at Bohemians who is an Albanian YNT player was born in Chicago. https://www.transfermarkt.de/marlon-marishta/profil/spieler/454289 https://www.uefa.com/under21/season=2019/teams/player=250105529/ https://bohemianfc.com/?page_id=13810
He apparently moved to Real Aviles in Spain this past season. http://realaviles.es/slavi-disponible-ante-el-uc-ceares/ The club's announcement cites American ancestry... http://realaviles.es/bienvenidoslavi/
Mike Garrett, Ian’s dad, is an old teammate of mine from another age in McLean, VA. Glad to see his son following his dream. Nice detective work. FWIW, Mike bounced around in the MISL and the indoor minor leagues before settling down in Michigan and getting into the business side of soccer.
Might be a Yank named Rustam Logan in the Leganés youth system according to this agency/organization (possibly a pay-to-play kind of thing?) that also represents Rayshaun McGann: Rustam Logan (USA) - @CDLeganes #LetUsMakeYourDreamsComeTrue #EduSoccer #🐝 #BecomingProfessional #DSEdusoccer #soccer #players #futbol #footballer #spain #madrid #leganes #rustamlogan #usa #cdleganes pic.twitter.com/Gv7enQ783s— DS EDUSOCCER (@DsEdusoccer) May 17, 2019 Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find any further info about him.
the supposed/maybe 99 German-American Gabriel Weiss is on the Ingolstadt 1st team bench today in 3rd Liga.
you remember when Morales played there in 1BL, lol. they sucked in 2BL last season, basically 2 relegation in a span of 3 seasons. 2016-2017, relegated from 1BL 2017-2018, 9th place in 2BL 2018-2019, Relegation playoff where they were defeated by Wehen that relegation to 3rd Liga relegated by default Ingolstadt II to 5th division even though they were doing well in RL Bayern, they were #6 last season. but they are playing a lot more younger players this season than previous ones. Could be a chance for Weiss, and Hawkins, Butler if those 2 are ever deemed good enough for 1st team.
He recently scored what was apparently a nice goal, for Puerto Montt. https://dpmchile.cl/el-chinquihue-s...entar-a-deportes-puerto-montt-ante-colo-colo/
Usually, when a club names an American player, it's pretty easy to find some info online about him -- college bio, youth club articles, high school write-ups... something. But this player, assuming the club is using his real name, comes up nothing: https://www.donegaldaily.com/2019/08/02/finn-harps-hopes-of-signing-american-striker-hit-a-snag/ The striker, listed on Finn Harps team-sheet as Immanuel Doyle, scored an equaliser... They confirm he is American and that fact limits their ability to sign him. It appears his father may have an EU passport, but not the player.
I love a good YA mystery! You should start a thread for it. His goal against Linfield comes at around 4:20 here, a nice reaction volley off a long throw. Unfortunately there's no announcing (I usually don't say that) so his name isn't confirmed. Wearing number 19 and not immediately obvious to me who he might be. I believe that's Josh Smith also going 90 for Harps in this one. https://www.donegaldaily.com/2019/0...over-trialists-in-friendly-win-over-linfield/
It's interesting the publication said his name was "listed as," perhaps hinting the club doesn't give the proper names of its trialists. I'll put up a thread soon.
Here's an enthusiastic write-up of his basketball skills for what I guess is his Irish high school: Time to call in the cavalry in the person of Marlon Marishta, who is (and looks like) your standard world-class athlete. The usually mild-mannered Marlon was inspired by the noise from cheerleader Richard Hogan and the raucous crowd to make his mark and boy did he- repeatedly dribbling the length of the court and either swooping to the hoop or gracefully arcing an outside shot. https://stconleths.ie/bring-the-noise-air-marlon-and-the-basketball-boys-crowned-sdbl-champs/
This link is moderately useful as a starting point for research, and in some ways up to date, though with some flaws. https://us.soccerway.com/players/players_abroad/united-states/
I suspect he could be a triple (or 4) national with a name like that. 2004 born Malick Sanogo who seems to be a striker at Union Berlin U17. DFB as American. https://www.dfb.de/datencenter/personen/malick-sanogo/spieler TM lists him as German. https://www.transfermarkt.us/malick-sanogo/profil/spieler/692736 scored a double in the 1st game of the season in a 3-1 win over Hallescher U17.
Start the thread! How'd you come across this guy? I haven't found a way (though I haven't tried in a while) to Google search the DFB site by country flags... For what it's worth, also no U.S. flag on FuPa. But if DFB site says it, good enough for me... https://www.fupa.net/spieler/malick-sanogo-1527425.html Scored a couple for their U17s just the other day. https://www.fc-union-berlin.de/de/u...m-Saisonstart-gegen-den-Halleschen-FC-15967I/
supposed German-American 01-Jeremiah Kasteleiner has moved from Wehen U19 to Gonsenheim U19. 1st team is OL club, also seems like he scored 1 goal in 2 games at the start of the season. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jeremiah-kasteleiner/profil/spieler/475956 seems like Giona Leibold is the only one of the 3 German-Americans who lasted at Wehen.
01-Jeff Keil mentioned a few times in this thread moved from Hertha U19 to Zehlendorf U19. One Berlin club to another. https://www.transfermarkt.us/jeff-keil/profil/spieler/468607 started the 1st game vs Energie Cottbus and got trashed 7-0.....
01-Silas Burke leaves Osnabruck U19 to move to Rodinghausen U19. 1st team is RL West club. https://www.fupa.net/spieler/silas-burke-330518.html seems like a lot of these lesser known 01 players are moving to small clubs.
A post by @ASU55RR on a separate thread revealed (to me, at least) another useful Google search that might be worth checking a few times each season for players in the Czech Republic: americke site:https://www.msfl.cz/hrac/
