I really have no idea about this, but his Facebook page mentions a high school in Milwaukee which, right or not, is probably where the connection comes from.

A '91 named Amar Islamovic at FC Inter Leipzig in Germany (where he has a YA teammate) is American, according to FuPa.

He might be one, but he appears to have come here as a refugee so I'm not 100% certain of his status. His club doesn't list him as American, but his mother seems to have obtained citizenship so I wouldn't be shocked if he did too.

A player with this name shows up on several California team rosters; in some cases he's referred to as Korean. Could be both.
