Aklbinoleffe Douglas Bentley: An American to conquer the tricolor

It is not the title of a movie but the beautiful, beautiful, history of Douglas Bentley, midfielder Caps

An American to conquer the flag. It is not the title of a movie but the beautiful, beautiful, history of Douglas Bentley, midfielder of our hats (for him dual passports, US and Italian) true protagonist of this season finale. The story takes on the outlines of the story if we think that the boy, until a year ago, a militant in the League for the Promotion, the ranks of Lemine. Is it really true that football knows royal emotions to no end.

Douglas, we start from your story: from promotion to the flag with the Caps in 12 months. How does it feel?

"I did not expect it at all, almost does not seem real. Last year I was the holder in a good team like Lemine, but now I can even be said to be among the Italian champions championship Berets ".

altLa feeling you give is not to have experienced particular problems in the transition from an amateur to a professional reality.

"I adapted well to the team right away, even with the help of the group that is exceptional. I'm glad to have been one of the protagonists of the final. The goal was the icing on the cake of a season I will never forget. "

You dreamed or hoped for this goal?

"C'avevo hoped. Both me Flaccadori, my roommate. We were both very concentrated and both went to sign. "

For the cabal, you remember the number of the room where you slept during the Final Four?

"I can not forget it: 115".

What do you think, in general, your season?

"I think I have done a good championship, always a starter, I scored six goals and we are satisfied. I think I have done very well on the occasion of the finals. "

After the final you have received a text message that I was particularly pleased?

"Yup. I have written almost all the coaches I've had as a boy, and this made me filled with pride. "

Your parents what they told you?

"They were happy. They rarely come to see me play. They saw the semi-finals live, the ultimate computer, along with the grandparents, and they were all very happy. "

You made mention of the strength of your group: This is a victory that you have preferred remaining always united.

"After the defeat against FeralpiSalò the group was pretty down in the dumps. We talked, we realized that we had to give more to do well in the finals and I would say that everything went for the best. Then with Mr. Bonazzi is a great feeling and this has helped us. "

What you have said President Andreoletti and the coach after the match against Lecce?

"The President has made us the compliments, but the most fun was seeing Bonazzi celebrate as if it were one of us."

Now a little 'vacation and then ...

"Next year I want to stay, I feel good here. I can do one more year of caps, but my dream is to be aggregated to the First Team. I already want to return to the field and repay the faith of those who believed in me. "

Finally, it is mandatory to ask a dedication.

"I would like to dedicate this victory and this season to those who have given me confidence, to those who have followed, the coach and the whole team. Continually AlbinoLeffe. "

Young players grow - Douglas Bentley
    Wednesday, October 9, 2013 14:02

American Dad (and practitioner of all sports), but Italian mother and maybe here is the passion for football. Douglas Bentley is one of the reference points of the caps of Mr. Bonazzi, but also a boy, as they say in these cases, with head on his shoulders, he loves the ball, but not only. We have met. Douglas, the first six years with the shirt dell'Albinoleffe. Can you tell us how you came in bluceleste? "I come from the youth of Lemine and last year I competed in the Championship promotion. I had the chance to do a few workouts with AlbinoLeffe during last season after being viewed in a race of Representative of Lombardy. In those two occasions it was all for the better, and in a few minutes we found the agreement. " What kind of player are you? "I'm a central midfielder and I can play like interior in a 4-4-2 or a center-line three. Both solutions I really like. My best talent is the resistance: I always try to do my best for me and for the team, combining quantity and quality. They say I look like Vidal, a comparison that is certainly pleased. " How is the inclusion in the team? I imagine that the transition from an amateur to a professional company involves significant changes. "It proceeds all for the better. There is great harmony with his teammates both on and off the field, especially with David Rota who was my partner in Lemine and I found myself with great pleasure. This year I train five days a week, so the commitment is important, but there is great organization and seriousness, and for me this is a huge stimulus to do better. If I had to vote on this experience I would not doubt a full 9 ". How are you finding with Bonazzi mister? "I really like the way he works: he has an idea of football precise, wants an offensive game and with ball always ground. I am putting the maximum commitment to fit into his plans. " How do you think the championship Caps? "It 'a tournament with very high technical values: I think they can do both starts a great experience and an important stepping stone" . What are your objectives this season? "On a personal level, the first is to play more games possible and one day get into the first team. At group level, I am convinced that we can be leaders and point to the national finals. " One dream tied to football and one independent of the green rectangle. "As a footballer, surely to be able to play in Serie A, but at this time I do not want preclude any way, so I try to football match even the good results at school. If I can not become a professional player, I'd like to be a doctor. The day will come when I'll have to make choices, but for now is far away. "

    Snip:

Kitsap continued to add to its roster this week by signing Ash Apollon. Apollon - a highly talented and dynamic attacking threat – is the second player to be signed to the Puma's roster out of Peninsula Community College this season.

    ...

Apollon was signed by Bangkok FC of the Thailand Premier League before being loaned to a second division team by the name of Grakcu Looktabfah FC. During his time there Apollon continued his scoring ways by netting 12 goals and having 9 assists in only nine games.

Anybody know why Transfermarkt says ex-Philly Union, now playing in Colombia, guy Roger Torres is part-American? When the Union signed him, it wasn't mentioned.

Union Berlin '99 Lennard Maloney is German-American, according to Soccer-Talents. Their source was probably his Instagram page, which has both flags on it and on which he calls the game "soccer."

Aside from being listed as a part American by not only soccer-talents but transfermarkt and owhentheyanks, Becker was confirmed to me to be German-American by Christian Albelo's father a few months ago. I think that's enough cause to move forward with thread for the young man.
