It certainly is unprecedented for four of my five favorite pro sports teams to still be active at the same time this late into the calendar year, whether deep into their playoff runs (San Jose Sharks and Golden State Warriors) or in the midst of their regular seasons (San Jose Earthquakes and San Francisco Giants). Of the five, only the San Francisco 49ers aren't currently playing, but only because it's nowhere near the NFL season yet. -G
This reminds me of when both Giants and Niners were deep in the post season few years back. The difference being Warriors and Sharks don't have a split base fans in the Bay Area.

Definitely! Indeed. As it currently stands, the St. Louis Blues still have the home-ice advantage in the series. -G
Oops, I miscalculated the number of home games each team has left in this series. In any case, this series has now essentially become a best of five, although the St. Louis Blues unfortunately still have the final game at home if the series gets that far. -G
2016 NHL Western Conference Final (best-of-seven): 2-1. The San Jose Sharks defeated the visiting St. Louis Blues. Next up: Game 4 at the SAP Center at San José on NBC HD on Saturday. -G
I mean I gotta say, I'm really surprised how well Sharks are playing...it's like a whole level above St Louis. I hope this is not a jinx.
