The Sharks had the 2nd longest active playoff streak in the NHL(14 I believe) next to my favorite team the Redwings(23 with a good chance of making it 24 this year). It was a good run for them and I am sad to see it end as the Sharks had some memorable playoff matchups with the Redwings when they were still in the Western Conference.

Actually I was mistaken it was more like 10 years (2003-04 to 2013-2014). Still a good run and the 2nd longest in the league before this year. It is hard to be consistent. Many good teams did not make the playoffs this year like the defending Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings and last year's President's Trophy(regular season leader) Boston Bruins, so missing it this year is not that bad.
