I just hope he comes back healthy and ready to go, and isn't eLimanated from further USMNT consideration.

Congrats to Nick, well deserved. He's a talented stout hearted player who is already a core player. I'm glad we had the foresight to lock him in...Kudos to the FO.

Why is it that sports executives' offices always look so neat and orderly and mine looks like the left-over debris from a tornado? :)

At least we can get some of the no-brainer stuff right. Now we need to nail a bunch more moves or we are in for at least a few more years of mediocrity.

I may be the only fan who's disappointed. I just hope this is a stepping stone move for Nick, I'm glad to have him but I'd rather he spread his wings at this moment.

Mediocrity would be a huge improvement from the present team.

.69 PPG, worst in the league. Only 2013 DC United (.47 PPG) and 2012 Toronto FC (.68 PPG) have seasons with lower PPG since 2008. The 2018 Quakes are on pace for one of the all time worst MLS seasons.

Latest playoff chances (through 6/13) are 1.8%.

It just means if some other club is interested they're going to pay a transfer fee instead of him potentially going on a free. If he does move on, don't you want the Quakes to get a transfer fee to help buy a replacement?

Agreed we are not even close to mediocre right now. Just plainly, bad.

If he goes with Jonathan Klinsmann, he will probably end up with Hertha BSC II team. They are playing in the Regionalliga Nordost or 4th tier.

From what I had read, Jonathan can't even make the bench of the first team. I don't see how this would be a move up for Lima. If he has to go to their second team, he is better off staying with the Quakes.

Jonathon Klinsmann is not even that good. Marcinkowski is better than Klinsmann. I dont think it would be a second team move. Unlike Klinsmann, Lima is good enough to play in the BL, and its visually obvious. He seems like the kind of guy who would push himself to the next level like this and take the risk. And after this season, I dont think anyone could blame him for bouncing.

if he did go, getting Manny Perez at all costs would be a necessity.
