I think there's something to this: https://sportsday.dallasnews.com/soccer/soccer/2018/06/09/fc-dallas-became-one-mls-bilingual-teams In my preseason dinner with Jesse, I mentioned I was worried about the communication of our defense and midfield. I wonder how much of our defensive suckitude has to due with the language barrier. Our core speaks only Spanish as far as I can tell and I've never heard Stahre speak spanish so I wonder how things are translating in practice. Also, during a game, how well is Flo communicating with the rest?
Interestingly, we’ve heard rhetoric from almost every owner across the league and not one word from Fisher since he bought the club. Is he a mute?
no he's not a mute....he's a billionaire who doesn't give a F*#k what his team's (A's & Quakes) fanbase think of him.
Little birdy in he sky told me to Mikael Stahre's after his next loss, he will go back to Minnesota.....Betty White use to say, "Once in St. Olaf!
The article seemed to touch upon many truthful subjects and it was spot on..... Aside from Stahre's time as coach being done, that is my comment. Its not if he will be canned, its when. If we all remember correctly, Dom was fired after a win. Its only a matter of time.
Yes, but, Stahre is a reflection of Jesse's vision for the club. If Stahre leaves it will mean Jesse has failed as well. Imo they are going to give them more than enough time to right the ship. They are going to at least see what any summer signings can do to turn things around.
aah, so Jesse and Stahre are close buddies. That would explain why he hasn't been fired yet and no voice of dissatisfaction has been heard from Fioranelli.
Again, I'm not saying that is what the article is saying, I'm saying that. As far as the article, they are talking truths. Each one of these points are spot on. As for Stahre, I hope he turns it around but I'm pretty sure he will be gone during the 10 day WC break....
The Soria article had a few new tidbits. Fioranelli and Stahre go back for a while. Fioranelli courted Stahre for several months, underscoring that Leitch's position was "interim coach" from the start. There were several other candidates. I wish Soria would provide more specificity. Of course, he does not want to lose access to his source. My hunch is that it is Fioranelli or someone very close to him feeding him this information. I guess the goal of the 2nd year of the 4 year plan is to burn down the team, so that year 3 can be seen as improvement. Stahre Out. Fioranelli Out.
We have an owner that is quite comfortable to burn down a team and rebuild, since it happens with the A's on a regular basis, though it remains to be seen if Stahre is another Billy Beane.
It seems the 2010 & 2012 seasons were one hit wonders. Last year was also a disappointment as we lost a coach (and his GM friend before that) and backed into the playoffs bowing out in a very embarrassing way by losing 5-0. Even giving Fisher Lew & Co the benefit of the doubt with those three playoff births, this club has been a failure for 7 out of 10 going on 11 seasons. This is not acceptable in any North American professional sport. Well leaving Tampa Bay and the Browns out of it....
We didn't really "back into" the playoffs last year. We got a hard-earned draw in Vancouver on a late equalizer by Vako and a win at home to get in - last two games. And Leitch had a better win % than Dom did.
It is when neither team had anything to do with the other. By this reasoning the champion in 2012 should have been relegated in 2014.
Wondo won the league's Golden Boot for both the 2010 and 2012 teams, each of which was coached by Frank Yallop.
