"The first rule of tifo is you don't talk about the tifo" -- except on a commercial replayed over and over on national TV. So who's paying the rent on the immaculate warehouse with the AU painted exterior? Continental Tires? Arthur Blank? Resurgence dues? Guess we're not going to talk about that.
I am downvoting this only because tvromero is right, the Nat players wouldn't be able to adapt to it.
It would be kinda fun if financial fair play came down hard on City Group and they ended up having to sell/abandon NYCFC and all their teams.
I kinda wonder "what if" if the boss had his hands on some of our other guys that we let go. The one I especially wonder the most about is Alashe. Something tells me he could have done more than reasonably well in our system next to Yueill, maybe even ahead of Judson and Godoy.
I have been saying this all season. I totally agree that Alashe would have flourished in this system. I also wonder what this team would be like, under this coach, with a Quincy Amerikwa in it, too.
His balk skills were t the best but that’s what Jackson is for . He could have at least been s great bench option in this system especially for the man marking
Good FIFA interview with @SJEarthquakes coach @peladoalmeyda: "At the start of the season if you had asked any other MLS team who they'd most like to face, they would have said San Jose ... now many teams would think twice before naming us."https://t.co/BB1jLMIQYm— Tom Marshall (@mexicoworldcup) September 18, 2019
These sorts of things worry me, because it plays right into Fisher’s tight-fisted player acquisition policies...
It's even worse - giving nycfc credit for being good without spending big is not an accurate representation of nycfc. They are not the lowly underdog. It's the Quakes FO and coaching staff vs the City Football Group. Big difference there.
I'm not saying this as a justification, I'm saying this as a warning, because we all have our pride, and we all dedicate passion, time and love to this. -- Matias Almeyda
