This game was won my Cuauhtemoc and Carillo. Amazing display of strategy and execution. They were down a man and still managed to score two goals.

Good game, very dissapointed in Cruz Azul's performance though.... and at the same time, surprised by America's..

(don't slay me! I don't normally watch these two teams.)

Cruz Azul players are all suffering from the Adrian Martinez syndrome. All those players who blew big time and were being blamed for Cruz Azul´s horrible last season but picked up their level this time are now sinking the team again. Lussenhoff, Tomas Campos, Juan Antonio Hernandez, Huiqui, etc. They even hurt teammates like Osorio ( who was beyond terrible today), Carmona, etc. Chelito didn´t do squat today.

Televisa sucked today too. They were showing some highlights and could have missed a great goal by Piojo Lopez, who fortunately for them, missed them. They also were prasing Lussenhoff´s attitude when he sucked big time.

America played great for a while. Blanco is back and hopefully he will show that level with the Tri.

Looks like Cruz Azul is gonna have to fight hard on sunday if they want to advance to the final.

That goal that Chelito missed was incredible and it was also a little luck and some great reflexes in Ochoa's part.

CA looked slow and out of sync in the first half. while America with Blanco distributing and recieving balls, even with kleber getting in the way of the Capitan, dominated.

It was dangerous at the end and CA shouldve capitalized on that chelito chance and even kikin missed some opportunities at shots from just outside the box. whats up with no blastin one in there?

    Rafa,

Yeah, Cruz Azul sucked it up, but it was more of America taking it too them and playing their game which forced Cruz Azul to be hesitant, slow, and non-decisive most of the game.

I have to agree on u with that.
Anyone who says Cruz Azul looked slow and out of it for any other reason than, because America was just so much more aggresive is BS.

I'm still sticking with my original prediction:

    America - Tecos final

Anyone who doubts Tecos needs to remember this: Luduena still hasn't put his stamp on this tie. Wait until tomorrow.

America played well but I will still go with my view. In the end of the 1st half, America stopped attacking and was not playing as well and still Cruz Azul couldn´t do squat. Not to mention how Cruz Azul was totally attacking them and then they give up that huge mistake of a goal by Piojo and took themselves out of the game by thier own lousy play in allowing that goal.

well the team looked pretty tired during the second half..and i think if Morelia really wanted to they could've tied the game

your fvcking team is bush league....

who the fvck sends a tape of a little altercation between loserhof and kleber. They didnt show loserhof knee kleber in the back prior to that play did they? THey didnt send that drop kick campos had on Blanco did they?

complaining about the officiating... i didnt recall Cruz Azul being disallowed a legit goal

haaaa i almost forgot about that goal called offsides ! you know
it looked legit to me on the replay, if you look at their feet they
were evenly in line, the comentators focused only on their body
and thats how they kept saying it was a clear offsides but last
time i checked your feet are part of your body too right

I dont know if america will make it into the final or even win it all
but if they do, that save by Ochoa has to be the play of the
year for all americanista fans ! 1 out of 100 times will anyone
make a save on a play like that and this was the ONE for
memo !!! what great awareness by him to be going one way
and still being able to stretch his leg out the opposite way
and stop that ball with the tip of his shoe !!! WOW
    just an amazing play.....

Still what a waste of a first half by cruz azul, sure america
pressured them very well but cruz azul played up tight and
even scared ! NOT once did they shoot on goal in the first
half  when you only go on the attack with 2 or 3 players
its very diffucult to create a chance on goal, not to mention
some of this guys NO TUVIERON HUEVOS ! if only everyone played
like chelito or kikin it would be a different team but aside
from that I have said this before and will say it again, romano
is as mediocre a coach as youll see, he just cant win the big
one, or for that matter the games that really do matter !!!

how are you gonna keep a guy like pavon on the bench?
pavon is a guy you have to have out there because hes
smart, hes calm under pressure, strong, experienced, does
not get intimidated and always seems to score when it
counts the most ! all hes done coming off the bench this year
is score !!! just like he did in the regular game against america
this year ! yesterday he set up the goal to kikin, so WHY DOES
ROMANO KEEP HIM ON THE BENCH ??? if i was the coach
i would start this guy every time...

That was a hell of an almost drop kick. If that connected...

Thats the type of kick that will end some ones career.

It was not a legit goal. Ckeck the tape (they did at your favorite televisora)
and they agreed it was offsides, not by much, but it was. quit complaining.

dont get ur pants all wet, everyone else who isnt an America fan saw how Ochoa was going to the other side and Chelito insteado kicking to the opposing side just shot in Ochoa's direction and hit his foot..

if Ochoa hadnt dove, the ball would've gone directly to his hands...
