Is it a scoop you can share with all of us? And that is sad about it being Wondos last year. Did you ask him why he’s not making more of an effort to make it count?
I don't know for sure other than he doesn't like to talk much to the press.... You mean make is last year count?
Robert Jonas told me that he asked Wondo during the morning practice (which was open to the media) whether as a Raiders fan he was rooting for (their division rivals) the Chiefs or (their formerly cross-Bay rivals) the 49ers in the upcoming Super Bowl. Wondo reportedly told him he dislikes the Chiefs more. I asked Jonas whether he asked Wondo if he would still be rooting for the Raiders when they moved to Vegas. He said he didn't ask him that question. (Typical journalist; failing to ask the hard questions.)
Well, actually Watt's return from his supposedly season-ending injury in about two months to blow-up the Bills' playoff game was pretty astounding. I wish he would have stuck to AYSO soccer.
exactly, imagine if he’d been willing to add a few players and given Wondo the shot at a title he so obviously deserves. that would’ve been the decent thing to do given what Wondo has meant to the Quakes.
Doesn't look like it. I spoke to Vega in Spanish and from what I gathered, it doesn't look like anyone new will come around until June or July.
That’s what I mean, I couldn’t care less about a meet and greet, it’s disgraceful that Fisher doesn’t care enough to give Wondo a proper sending off. This was the season when all he had to do was a couple of headline grabbing signings and then they could make this about Wondo and doing all they could to make this his year, in honor of his greatness. Instead, nothing. Wondo deserves better, anyone who cares about this team deserves better. No signings til June or July, give me a break.
And based on the MA scheme will not be able to help us in 2020. The only hope is that someone on the bench gets really good.
Well, Eriksson was much more effective with Matias. Hopefully we get more goal production from Espinoza and Hoesen, and perhaps having Rios and Fierro fully integrated has us playing better overall.
Yeah maybe. Considering he will be out of a job in ten months, I’m sure he would rather have some type of employment ready.
The Quakes do have a shot at a title. Every team has the same record right now, with the same opportunity. What were the Niners' odds at a title 38 days before their season started? hard not to admire Don's unflappable optimism, even with full knowledge of what a cheapskate Fisher is and how that permeates everything.
Must come from being a Bills fan! I spent much of my childhood in the Chicago area, but was a Cardinals fan rather than a Cubs fan (went to first and second grade in St. Louis, when I started to watch baseball), so I never learned what it was like to be devoted to a hopeless team as a child.
I thought the 49ers were good this year because the drafted a guy who’s really good? Are the Quakes draft picks going to be that good too? Hope so.
Ian Russell on the Stanford captain defender (from the audio on the Quakes twitter): "He's a man." Stanford. Captain. Man. He'll probably have a positive impact before the season is done.
