Frankly, I would think that the stadium sponsorship would sell itself. I mean, every passenger on the left side of every flight landing at SJC is going to see the stadium sponsor sign clearly as the plane glides in for a landing. That's an amazing opportunity, and it boggles the mind that we haven't been able to swing a deal...
The @SJEarthquakes have scheduled a press conference for Wednesday afternoon to share an important announcement. The name Earthquakes Stadium may, indeed, be very temporary. #Quakes74— Robert Jonas (@robertjonas) January 18, 2020
They should put the the sign in San Jose Museum along with Orchard Supply & Dick’s Super Market snd Avaya Stadium..... It has not even had time to get faded or old.....
Ahh what the hell...I'm actually excited about this! The worst that could happen; the announcement doesn't amount to much regarding our stadium.
There is no need for the Facebooks, EBays, and Googles of the world to advertise themselves on any stadiums or jerseys let alone the Earthquakes since they're already a global known brand and do not need to make any inroads into a specific market that would call for such advertising. The trget would need to be smaller to mid-tier companies or foreign comapnies pining for market share within the local or national sector. If Facebook, Apple, or Google were going to be aligning themselves with a sports team it definitely wouldn't be the Quakes who barely get any national recognition (local just as little).
It's true that neither eBay , Facebook, Apple, or Google need the Quakes. The Quakes though would benefit a great deal by having those companies on their jersey's and/or stadium. Of course they would all be a huge benefit and contributor to the club.
BTW, anyone catch the last couple of editions of ESPN FC? Banc of California Stadium is simply gorgeous! Earthquakes Stadium: at least in the near term, a missed opportunity. (major revamp/expansion or new stadium altogether by decades end, IMHO)
The most obvious sponsor, to me anyway, is the company that might be associated with the development being built next door. It seems like a place to start. Maybe a competitor of that company's name on the place? Somehow, and I admit to not being an expert at this sort of thing, it just does not seem that difficult to get a sponsor...virtually every venue in the country has a corporate name attached to it, regardless of location, size, etc. What is the issue with this one? Maybe, because Avaya has been in bankruptcy, the whole thing has been held up by a BK court? It would be nice to know what's going on...really.
Apple TV+ Hold corporate events at the stadium. Sponsor concerts for their TV platform. Hell, become an investor in the team.
If a new stadium naming sponsor isn't found soon, won't a giant Earthquakes Stadium sign at least be installed onto the jumbotron before this season begins? GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G
Has anyone heard of this book: Levi's Stadium Unsafe in Any Seat: Would You TRUST Your SAFETY at This Venue? Author and attorney Fred Weaver is doing a book talk on Wed Feb-5 @ 7:00 PM at Books Inc in Mtn View. https://www.booksinc.net/event/fred-weaver-books-inc-mountain-view "In this explosive book, as an attorney for this case, In Pro Per, Fred Weaver details the chaos and lack of security at Levi's Stadium, leading to recent 'near fatal' attacks, and personal injury lawsuits. Weaver also exposes Santa Clara Police Department 'corruption', City of Santa Clara 'dirty laundry' and the City of Santa Clara Council Members' 'toxic' relationship with the San Francisco 49ers entities, making Levi's Stadium the Most Dangerous Public Venue in North America."
I'm wondering if his contention ("Most dangerous public venue in North America") is backed up by any comparative statistics or is just an attention-grabbing headline based on anecdote, opinion, and not backed up by evidence.
Didn't someone die of a heat stroke in the first ever 49ers game at the new stadium? 49ers fan dies after collapsing at Levi’s Stadium opener https://www.mercurynews.com/2014/08/17/49ers-fan-dies-after-collapsing-at-levis-stadium-opener/ 49ers fans complain of ‘unbearable’ heat at Levi’s Stadium amid fan’s death https://www.mercurynews.com/2014/08...arable-heat-at-levis-stadium-amid-fans-death/ All that money went into the office building for the patricians on one side, they didn't have any money left over for a stadium roof or skin or anything else to shelter average fans from the elements, oh well at least global warming is just a Chinese hoax so things shouldn't get any worse over the years.....
