I think both of them right now are making too many weird mistakes in each game. I suspect they are both running on empty on the confidence scale.

No one should be surprised if LA snaps up a keeper this offseason. They could even do it internally with Vom Steeg

We should let them know Tarbell is available :p

It isn't saying much but Vom Steeg isn't as good as Bingham.

I rarely watch the Galaxy but I’m speculating had Bingham stayed with the Quakes , he would have been better than Tarbel.

Tarbell is so trash I just can't imagine what he must show in practice for the organization to persist with him.

The only thing Tarbel he had was because of his GA contract, the team didn't have to pay his salary. Or rather he didn't count against the cap....

Probably “shows” incriminating photos of Jesse or someone in upper management. Only explanation...

That is pretty harsh. I'm not going to say that I think Tarbell is really an MLS level goalkeeper, but I can't believe the hate he gets around here for trying to do his job despite the ample criticism of his ability that he most certainly is aware of. It's also not his fault that the team defense was so bad that a stiff breeze could outplay the midfield most of the time.

Is Tarbell responsible for his mistakes? Sure. Is he responsible for every goal that the Quakes suffered in 2018? Not even close. I get being upset at players like Bingham who generally seem self-serving and unpleasant, or who do things on the field that are dangerous and cause the team serious problems, but it does bother me a bit when seemingly good-natured players doing their best just get slammed, even if those players aren't very good.

Not trying to give Bingham much love but you know the more I think about it, the Quakes could use him again.

No way! JT is still to young and inexperienced.

Maybe as a backup but right now, he is still just a project that is probably 2 or 3 years away from being a starter.

Aside from is attitude, looking and David Bingham saving Wondo's pk last nights, I still think the Quakes management made a bad decision in getting rid of him.

He would have been way better than any of our goalkeeper's. Much better than Vega and way more experienced than JT who still is unproven.

Let's face it - all GKs are headcases, but Bingham is a bit more headcasey than most...

Not so sure. Many Gk's are crazy....

Bastian Schweinsteiger once said he made his debut for Bayern Munich in 2002. His place in the dressing room was always next to a so called monument called, Oliver Kahn. The first time he talked to him was three years later in 2005. Every player in the locker-room had his own stall and only one towell...

Strangely, Bastian thought, ‘Where is mine ?’.

"Then I looked over and saw Ollie who was using my towel to dry is hair and his to dry his gloves“.

There was an interview Eskandarian had many years ago and he talked about having a locker next to Zach Thronton while with the Chivas and he said Thronton would turn into a man-beast if you touched his gloves. He said no one was allowed to ever touch his gloves.

Brose told me Joe Cannon used to have a pregame routine that included McDonalds and sitting in his towel naked.

Nap is a goalkeeper too and he's just crazy. So I truly do believe and agree keepers are crazy.

There has to be some other stories... :D Rings true with any goalie in any sport--goalies are crazy and weird haha! :D

Though--Jorge Campos takes the cake... start as a goalie then get Kramer to sub him in, take out another field player, and put him up at forward... not that Nap... :p

Say what you want about David Bingham but comparing him to Vega, he is much better.

Maybe he is a hot head and has an attitude and I’m the first to admit it but there is no way will we have been blown out with all those goals as Vega was. He would have commanded the defense a lot better.

I met Daniel Vega and got a chance to speak with him and maybe he is out of his element or past his prime at 36 or lost confidence but right now, Bingham is a much better Gk. That is a fact and and anyone who knows the game can see that...

Tim Hanley always says GKs are crazy, and he could have been a psychotherapist :)

Actually, one of the things I like about JT is that he doesn’t seem crazy.
