Our future lies in our own hands right now. We need to take care of business by either beating France or winning the playoff - we have two chances, need to take advantage of one.

We are 30th. We would have been top 20 if we drew Mexico, drew Brazil, and drew Ireland. Maybe the game against Wales will boost us up a few places, maybe even five with a big win and other teams dropping. You never know in football.

 

I wish Pape and our players would recognize the importance of friendlies. If you do well in the friendlies then you'll most likely play against a weak opponent in the play-offs if you happen to reach those. But if you perform like shit like we did against freaking Irelans and happen to come 2nd in your group then there's a high chance you'll have to face a side like Portugal again.
