    Fake news!
There was actually no live ordnance in those bunkers, just empty shells.

I'll let you make the joke about the stadium being an empty shell.

On Reddit it has been stated that the standing section underneath the Ultras are being modified, and that the Ultras may be moving down there.

Any Ultras in here that can confirm? And did you guys already know about this?

Has anyone seen the outer shell of the new "Estadio de la Ceramica" stadium? It's absolutely beautiful! Talk about not only advertising the home team, but also advertising top brands such as Nike, Adidas, Apple and Samsung to name a few. Quakes should look at implementing this design at Avaya. Great way of streaming in much needed revenue.

It would be named after our last playoff appearance.

They've installed bleachers in the middle two sections of the standing terrace for the Ultras.. The outer two sections will remain the same with the standing rails. Sections 117 & 118 will still be GA and presumably Ultra overflow.

I don't speak for the Ultras.

Haven’t driven by Avaya since last home game. Is the parking for 2018 going to be the same as 2017 or has any progress/construction taken place?

Someone posted these pictures of the new bleachers: https://imgur.com/a/9uVQ5

They are not what I imagined when I read about them. I thought the FO would build up to the Sections 117 and 118 to connect the lower and upper supporters sections.

This new section looks too small for the Ultras. I think they get to decide if they want to move there, but I imagine the FO wants them to relocate, and redefine 117/118 as "End Zone" (what is this? american football) with its higher ticket prices for future seasons.

If the Ultras don't want those bleachers, other attendees can get a better view of the action on the field from their upper rows than from the existing terrace.

PS. I don't know how recent those photos are, but one shows the Sklo Unge area unchanged.

That would require real construction, not just adding off the shelf bleachers.

    That's terrible.
You won't be able to see half the field from the side terraces because the bleachers will block your view.
You won't be able to see the field from 117&118 because of the Ultra's flags.
    Sad.

In addition to obstructing the view of the field for the seats on either side, these looks like cheap temporary bleachers you'd find at a high school field. Hopefully this is not the permanent solution...

It looks like these bleachers are a new way to sell seats that were already promised to fans as safe standing seat areas.

It looks like a temporary test to see how the Ultras behave with the bleachers. They have sterilized most of the remaining standing areas since it won't be possible to see much more than half the field beyond the first two rows.
