He is one player I think the Quakes should have hung on to a little bit more. I know he was getting older but when they let Bernardez go, I think Imperiale could have added to the defense. Too bad because he may have done well with Almeyda as coach. He is still only 32 and as a defender, he still has at least 2 or 3 more years. He certainly couldn’t do any worse than what we had last year.

It wouldn't be the first time that Q defeated an MLS lion mascot.

Great, MLS will probably invent a rivalry between Orlando and Cincy because of their similar mascots. "It's Pride week, get ready for the Mane Attraction"!

And after a dull, 0-0 draw, the headlines will say, "the Lions sleep tonight".

Just saw Tyler Amarente (stadium PA announcer) on Channel 2 news. Said a lot of about the new coach and players, but surprisingly nothing about Wondo’s closing in on the record.

Seems to me that no national media has been mentioning Wondo’s upcoming record, not even ETR

Anyone know if there Is a preview of the Earthquakes season in the San Jose Mercury news or San Francisco Chronicle?

I was just looking at the Twitter feed for Jonathan Tannenwald (@thegoalkeeper) and he has been posting an incredible amount of 2 to 6 pages of previews in most local teams newspapers.

    Dear MLS Supporters,

As we begin our 24th season today, I'd like to thank you for your support of Major League Soccer and your favorite club. There is no doubt that our fans have played a key role in the growth of our league, and the sport of soccer in the United States and Canada.

Thanks to you, 2018 was our best season ever, on and off the field. We had another year of record attendance and viewership, across a multitude of media platforms. And thanks to the focus and commitment of our players and technical staffs, MLS matches averaged more goals and shots on goal than any major professional soccer league in the world.

This season we will welcome FC Cincinnati, our 24th club. FC Cincinnati's passionate fans have shown incredible support for the club as they enter MLS and they will certainly become a terrific rival with their Ohio neighbor, Columbus Crew SC. Our league will continue to grow in 2020 with the addition of Inter Miami CF and Nashville SC. And Minnesota United FC will open Allianz Field, the 20th stadium in MLS built or transformed for soccer, with six new stadiums opening in the next few years.

This season will feature many exciting events. The MLS All-Star Game presented by Target will take place on July 31 at Orlando City Stadium. Heineken Rivalry Week, set for Aug. 21-26, will feature another great schedule of games. Decision Day presented by AT&T arrives on Oct. 6, with 12 matches all beginning at 4 p.m. ET in the final quest for berths and seeding in the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs. In addition, many of our players will compete in the Concacaf Gold Cup which begins June 15.

For a complete guide to the 2019 MLS season, click here.

Finally, the Audi MLS Cup Playoffs will feature a brand-new format, with single-elimination games leading to a three-week sprint to MLS Cup, which will take place November 10. From beginning to end, network partners ESPN, FOX Sports, Univision, CTV, TSN and TVA Sports will provide extensive national coverage in the U.S. and Canada.

On behalf of all of our players, staffs and our entire ownership group, I want to thank you for your support and for providing the unmatched gameday experience that has captured the attention of soccer fans throughout the world.

    Enjoy the 2019 season!

2018 was the season in which Don Garber and his minions were frustrated in moving an MLS franchise by #SaveTheCrew.

36 minute Episode 2 Black & Azul (Joel Soria and C Wollin)

Good episode, starting with discussion of Almeyda to Mexico rumors. Also, if you look at the set, you'll see Gary Singh's book, San Jose Earthquakes, A Seismic Soccer History, prominently displayed!
