The only thing that wasn't impressive was our finishing tbh. We let in 0 goals.

Well fck Beckenbauer, Wu Lei is a steaming sack of shite. Can't believe the Chinese have the audacity to bring him up in the same sentence as SHM. 이승우 선에서 정리 가능....

After 4 (or 5..?) straight wins against Korea, I think Iran are the favorites. Pressure on you guys, we're the underdogs. ;)

On side note, Beiranvand has been absolutely phenominal in every aspect. Confident in the air, good shot stopper and a cannon of an arm. Had a feeling he would take the mantle as Irans future GK when he was with Naft.
Tough for any team to carve out chances against that defense, let alone beat him with a shot.

Has Iran ever attacked Korea and tried to destory our culture? Do Iranians keep electing a grandson of a war criminal who was involved in the genocide in Asia as their prime minister? Plus Japanese football fans are as cocky as Iranians. They just don't show up on English boards.

We have completely new team along with new coach. Our team is mostly based on players that played at 23 olympic team at rio, which was pretty successful for us... 0-0 against Brasil, 1-1 South africa, 0-0 Denmark. etc. We only lost because we did not have enough points. The problem is with our team is that we haven't prepared for this tournament and our coach is completely new without best track record but at least he is better than Iraqi coach..Another downside that our coach has not big experience with out players.. He did put our best Midfielder in bench when we played against Vietnam.. After match he regret it a lot.. but Iraqi is also improving.. Their defense was good against Iran. Did not expect it after Vietnam fiasco but the coach are learning. We have great potential but if our coach cannot master the players... I dont see us winning.

Saudi has 70% possession against Japan. Lucky corner goal for Japan. Getting dominated otherwise.

Fruitless domination doesn't win you games. Did domination favor Germany against Korea in the last WC?

Saudi always have the possession but holy crap they are bad at making goal. They cannot do this forever. They will get tired.

Okay mate. When’s the last time you’ve seen Japan with 30% possession, especially against a team like Saudi Arabia? Japan is known for short, quick passing and possession play. Defense is not their strong suit either, as evident in the group stages, but they’re relying on it now. This is a very intriguing display by Japan do to a different playstyle and calls into question whether its intentional or not.

Tomiyasu is like Japan's Kim Min Jae. Young, talented and physically strong. Don't know his play style tho. At least Tomiyasu will have a great career in Europe. Sigh...

Under Halilodzic they were playing defensively albeit not to the extent of having 30% possession. It seems the current manager is a fan of a conservative playstyle too.

He’s at a tiny club in Belgium... not exactly something to be jealous about imo :coffee: though I understand your sentiment.

When does the bedsoccer match start tommorrow? Korea has not played a match with any Arab team in this competition yet. It will be interesting to see how they handle the match.
