I don’t care about our financial power - in terms of soccer power, we’re probably deep into the four digits in terms of ranking...

That guy admits to watching the Quakes a lot, so,a bit of a homer, though we did get a mention from another person.

 

I think that legitimately, we should be in the conversation, at least for now.

We've needed a new look since '08.
So: New GM, New Head Coach, New Coaching Staff.
New DP in Vako, who is pretty good.
New Player in Magnus, who is probably pretty good.
Two New Strikers from the draft, who might be able to contribute.
Resigned our best #9 type guy from last season.
Three brand new starters on the backline for this season!! (We've need to rebuild our backline since '13 at the very least.
Up and coming youngsters in midfield.
Oh, and NEW COACH!!

It's not like we needed one or two pieces to get better, we needed a bunch, and we went out and got them.

We have made the right moves to get better, the question is whether those moves were good enough.

I agree, we have improved, but, making comparisons with other teams is fairly pointless. We don't have any superstar/game changers on the roster, we need to see if Stahre can get all the pieces playing well together as a team.

 

Sure, and this sort of analysis is "highly speculative" at best. But, it's the pre-season, so we write silly stuff like this because we don't have any actual games to talk about yet.

If we're looking at which teams appear to have made the necessary moves to improve their squads, then we should be in that conversation, and yes, with the understanding that our moves may not be enough to keep up with, much less over take our opponents.

We'll see. I'm hopeful at the moment.

So I always get emails from MLS directing to buy stuff from the MLS online store. Today it showed the Quakes new jersey. I click the link just to see the cost. You can also get a list of players names available if you want to order that way....
