"in response to our terrible performance for as long as anybody can remember, missing the playoffs for the past four years, scoring the fewest goals in the whole, entire league last year, this year we have decided to start the season with no designated players at all, not a single one. However, we are looking at bringing in a guy nobody's ever heard of who's averaging less the one goal a season for each of his recent clubs...but don't worry we expect to wow you in the summer with some really, really big signings sure to bring a smile to your face. thanks ever so much for your continued loyal support and ongoing patronage, we look forward to seeing you in your seats as we prepare for what's sure to be a brilliant, don't-want-to-miss-it 2017 campaign! Our venerable local newspaper has published an article about the Hoesen - Jungwirth signings with an upside down photo. Brilliant!
It's not our local newspaper -- hasn't been since it dropped the "San Jose" from the name. It is now nobody's local newspaper...

http://www.sjearthquakes.com/post/2017/02/17/forward-one-quakes-launch-new-fan-centered-billboards Too bad they couldn't find a single female fan over the age of 10 to appear on a fan billboard. We get the message: your fans are young and overwhelmingly male and you don't care about the rest of us.
I'm confused. I thought the Quakes did a photo-shoot for the first X-number of fans (a hundred as I recall?) who signed up, and presumably signed waivers agreeing to allow their images to be used in promotional ads. Also, it's not clear from the team link you provide that the billboards shown represent the totality of the advertising campaign we will see. So, couple questions: (1) did you sign up for the photo-shoot?; (2) do you know for certain their were no adult women who did? Finally, I highly doubt there was any intention to snub any fan demographic, because I was told prior to the campaign getting underway that it was designed to reflect the diversity of the fan base, which the FO appreciates as one of the Club's assets.
Yes, apparently there were adult women photographed, as I suspected. That should answer my second question addressed to TS. But it may not assuage her concern regarding why the billboards don't depict adult women.
