왜 대표팀에 못 가는지 모르겠다. 퍼포먼스에 아주 만족한다. 지금은 일이 꼬였지만, 원래 선발로 쓰려고 데려온 선수다. 여러 면에서 아주 높은 수준이라고 생각하는데, 가장 중요한 건 늘 자신에 차 있다는 것이다. 긍정적 에너지가 느껴진다. 언어 차이 때문에 많은 이야기를 나누진 못했지만 바디 랭귀지와 축구 이야기를 나누면서 불안감을 없애주고 더 편안한 기분을 갖도록 해 줬다.

디에고가 너무 수비를 쉽게 한다고 불만을 갖는 사람도 있더라. 그러나 언제나 좋은 위치, 좋은 시점에 수비하기 때문에 그래 보이는 거다. 수비에게 가장 중요한 덕목이지. 디에고의 경기를 본다면 다른 선수들보다 조금 일찍 중요한 지역을 선점하는 모습을 볼 수 있다. 디에고는 발이 빠르진 않다. 대신 (이마를 가리키며) 여기가 빠르다.

계속 발전 중인 선수다. 디에고가 내 팀이라 그러는 게 아니라, 그는 내가 본 한국 수비수 중 최고에 속한다. 수비수는 때로 일대일 상황에서 버텨야 하는데 디에고는 그걸 전혀 두려워하지 않는다. 처음 영입했을 땐 일대일 수비를 조금 꺼리더라. 수비진에 혼자 남는 상황을 두려워하는 것 같았다. 그래서 설명해 줬다. 동료들이 전진해서 공격 중이라면 맨투맨 디펜스를 할 수밖에 없는 상황이 온다고. 나도 현역 때 많이 겪었던 상황이다.

Who cares..? a gook named diego is funny enough. He can call himself for pele for all that matters

 

Not really STY's forte but I could see him resorting to this late in the game if we are trailing/tied and haven't had much success with connecting passes. I think this is why Yeom was selected because he's the best left winger we have in terms of crossing the damn ball (unless I'm completely forgetting somebody).

There's no doubt that Hwang will be the 1 top going into these 2 matches but if he isn't, then sh*tt

 

Like everyone else on BSK, I'm hyped and anxious about these two critical qualifiers. But in the end, if we can't convincingly qualify I don't want us to go to Russia and embarrass ourselves.

 

Who knows, maybe Lee Dong Guo will find himself and knock in 2 or 3

 

We will prob see Kim Jung Un giving up his nukes first before that.

You also realize how shitty you can be but also qualify. Yeah I'm talking about those other teams

 

Everyone here is freaking out but I think either scenario could be a good thing. If we qualify, great. We're in the World Cup. We probably won't make it out of the 1st round with the dysfunction we got but as a fan, I still get to be excited and watch the matches.

If we do not qualify, hopefully this is the kick in the rear that prompts the KFA to be overhauled (could be unrealistic but who knows).

I do hope we make the WC for Russia. I won't be watching the Qatar WC so for me, it's a big deal.

 

i too hope for big shake up, should we not make it. in reality, i don't see that happening at all.

Park Jisung has been quoted talking about players being split into sides as well as talking back at the manager/coach which I'm guessing was Stielicke. Anyone know what that's about?
