Besides I believe Trump was rather restrained on his Tweets for the last week. I don't think there was one totally ridiculous tweet in the past seven days.

This is a pretty good recap from a person who does elections in Florida.

    http://steveschale.com/blog/2017/6/20/one-big-lesson-from-ga-06.html

Ossoff's best chance would have been if Handel lost the primary. She is a known candidate in a a ruby red district. Ossoff is a young and a newcomer who tried to make the election national with a candidate who did everything possible to remove Trump from the equation unlike the other Republican candidates she beat in the "primary".

Ossoff outspent Handel but the Republicans outspent the Democrats in the district. This was over when Handel won the "primary".

I was looking at a picture of him the other day and had an uncontrollable urge to just smack him.

He's not quite at the Ted Cruz level of smackability, but his Smackability Quotient is quite high.

What do you expect? The Russia hoax is all you have. Face it. The Democrats have finally been "unmasked" and shown for what they really are: a fringe party out of touch with the American people. Get used to it.

He was refuting the "fringe party" bit, which is laughably untrue.

Thanks, no one has pointed that out before, and yet Hillary will never be President, which makes me smile even if it means 4 years of Drumpf.

We also have Donald Trump, a bumbling idiot with an approval rating below 40%. We have Mitch McConnell who is one of the least popular members of the Senate. We have a cabinet of morons, like flat earther Betsy DeVos, Mr. Oops Rick Perry and the grain storage expert Ben Carson. Just give these idiots more time ... they will have their Katrina moments.

Keep celebrating your narrow wins in what are supposed to be safe red districts. Eventually you'll need to take your gloating into actual swing districts where a 10-20 point swing is going to make a difference.

Don't look now but the Democrat in Alabama is only trailing by 3/4 points in the race to replace Jeff Sessions. Of course the Republicans are still locked in their primary battle. It's probably safe to assume that this lead increases once Republicans unify behind one candidate. But still would be noteworthy just making Republicans spend a little money on what should be one of the safest seats in the country. In the end this will be another good show by Democrats without actually winning anything.

40% with 16-17% undecided. He'll lose by 18 points or so.

Dems flipped a state senate seat in Florida and a lower house seat in New Hampshire that had been red since Lincoln. 28-point swing in that one from last year's election.

They've now flipped 8 GOP seats in 27 chances so far this cycle, which works out to about a 30% success rate in districts Trump won by an average of 19 points. No Dem seats at any level have flipped from blue to red so far.

If that ~30% success rate holds up in next year's midterms, it means about 80 red seats lost in the House. It should also mean a ton of state houses will flip.

The above + Corker's retirement... writing's on the wall for the GOP. Gonna be 2006 on steroids.

They are already working hard at that. They can just keep letting Dear Leader and co make themselves look like fools without having to make comments that Dear Leader and co need to stir up the base.
