North Korean perspective/context: http://www.vox.com/2015/8/3/9089913/north-korea-us-war-crime "Yes, much of its anti-Americanism is cynically manufactured as a propaganda tool, and yes, it is often based on lies. But no, it is not all lies. The US did in fact do something terrible, even evil to North Korea, and while that act does not explain, much less forgive, North Korea's many abuses since, it is not totally irrelevant either. That act was this: In the early 1950s, during the Korean War, the US dropped more bombs on North Korea than it had dropped in the entire Pacific theater during World War II. This carpet bombing, which included 32,000 tons of napalm, often deliberately targeted civilian as well as military targets, devastating the country far beyond what was necessary to fight the war. Whole cities were destroyed, with many thousands of innocent civilians killed and many more left homeless and hungry."
Playboy's Pyongyang edition sold out of it's "Girls Of Traffic" edition in record time, according to Dear Leader.
We are at the mercy of whomever has Trump's ear. Kim clearly sees trump for what he is. He is basically acting like trump.
Kim has being acting like this for ever, Trump was scamming old ladies off their savings when Kim was learning to act this way.
And let's face it: Kim learned from Gaddhafi and Saddam Hussein that it doesn't pay to give up your nukes. They did, and they're now dead.

I want to see how many dots are on the other hemisphere before I jump on this particular ignorance-bashing bandwagon.
At least the idiots that picked the Philippines picked the Northern part of the Philippines. So, progress?
Successful North Korean missile test today, possibly of an ICBM. Also, this: 882347317713674240 is not a valid tweet id
This is fine.(*) What could go wrong? (*) too lazy to go get the picture of the dog in the house on fire. Also, don't preempt Earthquakes game for any breaking news. I'm trying to watch TV here. I'm still bitter over when I came back to find that my VCR had taped two hours of Peter Jennings instead of the WCQ from Foxboro, just because we started dropping bombs on Afghanistan.
NYT just updated its article with a new paragraph.. SEOUL, South Korea — The Trump administration on Tuesday confirmed North Korea’s claim that it had launched an intercontinental ballistic missile, but it told Pyongyang that the United States would use “the full range of capabilities at our disposal against the growing threat.” The administration followed up that warning with a joint military exercise in which United States and South Korean forces fired missiles in the waters along the Peninsula’s east coast as a show of power. https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/04/...reakingNews&contentID=65530981&pgtype=article
Was just telling the Mrs over breakfast today - "Trump will probably fire some empty missiles into NK today just for fun"
At some point, Trump has to realize that NK is doing everything because they get a response out of him.
Josh has a pretty good summary of the situation. http://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/trumps-korea-policy-is-a-fast-forward-stupider-version-of-bushs The tl;dr version is that Bill Clinton and Obama both realized that we don't really have any good options wrt North Korea, so they made the best deal they thought they could. Both Bush and Trump thought that reasonableness was appeasement by another name, so they came into office with bluster about their toughness, and made the situation worse.
