I love Vini but I think he would’ve found a way to miss that had it been him. Lol

All hype this summer among the youth has been around Kubo but Rodrygo was just as impressive, his decision making is top not for his age, combine that with ability to glide past players and you got a gem.

Poor game actually, considering its third division. And I think we should play him on the right given that our left flank is stacked.

Without watching this but having watched the game he was very poor.

Lost the ball a lot trying to do too much, was Isco levels of frustration watching him play.

I can say I really don't like him playing on the left, just seems wasted out there, either play him through the middle or on the right.

We'll see what happens next game I guess.

Liking what I'm seeing from this guy more and more.

His dribbling is purposeful....always dribbling to move towards goal....none of that fancy unnecessary stuff.

Scary acceleration too. Can't wait to see this guy play some games.

Been watching the Fati Ansu hype and thinking to myself...just wait until Rodrygo gets his chance...

Will try to catch his next game. Highlights look good though.

With everyone injured and Vasquez the first option in the right...this is the perfect time for him

Bale isn't injured, he was suspended for last game but he's been healthy so far which is kind of ironic considering all of our injuries so far.

There is zero logical argument against this :D, Rodrygo is better going forward and works just as hard off the ball.

What a way to say hi to the greatest stadium on the planet. I hope we see more good things from Rodrygo.

I'd love to see this forward lineup, maybe in a CDR game:

    Vinicius - Rodrygo - Brahim

Rodrygo has played like 30 minutes with the first team outside of preseason friendlies. When Asensio debuted he started scoring on Bayern and Juve and people thought sky is the limit, now people are calling him a bust and overrated.

    Let's stay calm for once.

I agree that people need to manage their expectations, but Asensio shouldn’t be the benchmark. You gotta reward good performances with playing time.

He scored out of his first touch, he could be miserable afterwards and the echo would still be amazing. Asensio was very much like that. I'm not comparing, I'm just saying we should burn him out by placing completely unrealistic expectations on him for now.

There are big name talents that turned out much much worse than Asensio too.

You do realize that some of us have actually seen Rodrygo play for over a season right? you can literally go back a couple of pages on this very thread and see that, so when we say he’s better than Lucas it’s not based on 30 minutes as you claim.

I’m not one of those calling Asensio a bust btw, I still think he will play an important role here, he had a shit season in a season everybody besides Benzema and Vinicius were shit.

Again, the club/coach should reward good performances with playing time. It is extremely difficult to manage fans expectations when a player does well with the given time, but that doesn’t mean we need to give that earned playing time to someone who isn’t making the most out of it (e.g. Lucas Vasquez).

Yes, I just don't give a damn about it. Jese came out the gates blasting Valencia and he's currently beging teams to give him a chance. Deulofeu (his Barca counterpart) , the "new Raul" Bojan Krkic, "the new Iniesta" Oliver Torres.

There are players that had multimillion Nike deals in Rodrygo's age and were arguably even further ahead of him.

We need to be calm with him.

Probably, but then again, Lucas Vazquez is an isolated case. Rodrygo played in Hazard’s Position and Hazard will play

He played most of the past 2 years as a RW even though he stated that he prefers to play on the left.

You’re acting as if people are saying he should take Bale or Hazard’s spot, advocating for him to take Lucas’s minutes IS taking it easy with him. But yea Bojan or something .
