You can't always make a clear effort to back away is the problem. If you don't know whether or not the ref is allowing a quick free re-start, it's often defensively necessary to help protect your keeper from a trick-shot.
Personally, I think if a foul is called then the ref should have to re-start play with a short whistle.

The team that caused the free kick to be awarded should not have the advantage of delaying play. That's not a reasonable course. Set your defense as quickly as possible and let play proceed.

Meanwhile in Birmingham someone punched a 7 yr old for wearing a jersey with Grealish written on it....

(Well, it wouldn't surprise me ... ffs ..)

Get this_-- some neanderthal brother Brummi of the lout that ran onto the pitch and assaulted Grealish yesterday decided to go on Twitter and tell said player that he was glad that his brother had died. (I'm willing to bet that even this cur would cry if he chanced upon something similar happening ot his own mother.... but yet ... off his internet warrior mouth must fly ....)
This amongst many othe reasons is why I would BAN Twitter and anything attempted that is similar .... as a fvcking menace to civilized society .... I was trying to explain this to a friend of mine over beers recently but he was adamant that you can't just willy-nilly ban stuff - and I would normally agree vehemently, but in this particular case, this treacherous technological gift has given us back an ancient atavism of vile soullessness ... and is just as bad (in my view) as shouting fire in a darkened theatre.....

and (if any further proof were needed) it has given us the fountainhead of Donald J(ackass) Trump - where ironically it does look like there is a fountain peeing out a slurge of slimy coloured water from atop his crest .....

I got fired because I had the temerity to ask for benefits for working a full time job in an extremely stressful environment.

This is the kind of shit that just infuriates me about our country...

That’s awful. Any chance you can look into a wrongful termination action? Good luck on the search I’m sure that something will turn up soon enough.

It's everybody's business. Brexit changes the economic structure of the planet to some degree, however small, and the social structure to some extent.

You've allowed your animus toward Trump to cloud your otherwise impeccable thinking.

What makes you think your reasoning is impeccable?

I think Trump is a narcissist, a bombastic blowhard, a self-aggrandizing jerk as person. As the President, I think he makes mistakes, plenty of them, but in balance more good than bad decisions, policy-wise. We could discuss individual decisions.

The Brexit remark by Zaq is silly. Brexit is everybody's business. That's a fact.

PA is an at will, right to work state, so I'm sure that there is nothing I can do .

This week sucked but the win over Bayern Munich and then waking up to a 5 star review of my book from someone I've heard described as a true genius is helping a little.

If you were talking about a rational human being I'd tend to agree with you. But he's talking animus about an anus who just likes to disrupt an spread chaos.
When a mass murderer can point to him for inspiration it sort of tells how much of an anus he is.
Perhaps your admiration for this ass is clouding your judgement.

    More Animus. :)

Trump. All what you say and worse.
He's a proven liar, a cheat, a rascist and misogynist.

    As for policies etc.
His Tax plan certainly helped the rich and people who invested money in his campaign. But robbed the average American. As jobs disappear overseas.
After the tax break one billionaire donated $30M back to Trump. That was 10% of what he received.

We Mrs Scouse and I are fairly comfortable but still count our pennies. Our living relies a lot on the social security we paid for over the years and if I didn't have Medicare/Medicade I'd be living in a cardboard box behind Pizza Hut. This person!!! And his sycophants in the GOP have made it their goal to destroy this while enriching themselves even more.

The so called richest country in the world. With children who can't afford a doctor or in some cases don't even know we're their next meal will come from.

I haven't the energy to go on about this Mob Boss of a president or his draconian policies to enrich the rich.
But just don't tell me his policies are good for America, Americans, the American environment, Americas future or America's image in the world.

Excuse me. I have to go and puke!!!

I guarentee you that if some lunatic shot up a public place, killing many, and had written a manifesto replete with adulation of a social justice advocate or a socialist, the faux outrage machine over at Fux News would go into overdrive.

There is no legit support for the current administration and it's blatantly racist, bigoted, sexist, authoritarian, and generally bloody moronic policies.

If that bit is true, then every fool who earns less than 50K a year who voted for this rancid man who was supposedly gonna make their lives better with that extra 70 bucks a week inside their paycheck (coming from government programs that need it - like HUD) should be given 30 lashes ....
    simple wonkonomics ...

The tragedy of America is that poor people have been (for 30-40 years now) primed to be manifestly intellectually against the one thing that would improve their lot - to wit = govt. programs.
"Big Government is Bad for You" - repeat the idiot mantra, blah, blah, blah .... (when in fact, most of these large government programs - and the country could actually really use more of them - like free tertiary education, etc) are the best friends most poor folks could have ...

But the delusion and the menace continue. And Trump - self serving git that he is, is actually less to blame for this particular pitch than are the likes of Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan, etc .... The Republican party are nasty swine - 90% of them ... PERIOD

    https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-...the-world-has-gone-mad-me-my-selfie-and-i-bbc

((( Earlier this month, a woman was attacked by a jaguar at a zoo in Arizona. The jaguar lacerated her arm after she climbed over the concrete barrier to try and take a selfie with it. Last year, a global study found that the quest for extreme selfies killed 259 people between 2011 and 2017. We cannot stop taking our own picture, even when it puts our lives in danger. )))

All I can say to this is = Good!

and don't feed that Jaguar - it didn't do it's job properly.

Lest we forget- approximately 16 years ago the murderers went to work, out in the open, with no alibis, and got away with it.
