It makes no damn sense. I think someone put it on the distributed sheet and no one has bothered to double check it.

Egypt realistically need a goal every 4 minutes now or every 8 minutes for a draw.

It's shocking that Russia hasn't allowed a shot on target in the run of play, considering how bad the center backs have actually been. They've allowed a lot of touches inside the box, and been saved mostly by incredibly inept shooting by their opponents.

Hegazi is a god-awful defender. No awareness at all.

 

I'll give both teams credit for still playing like the game were tied.

 

Don't they watch their twitter feed? Certainly people are complaining about it.

 

Seems a lot of goals in this tournament are PKs.

 

But VAR is working great, in my opinion. There's really been very few controversial talking points so far as a result of the refs.

 

I'm genuinely surprised that it's working well, but it has been great. Very quick, the reviews are clear, and the decisions are right.

 

If they were they'd also stop calling thow ins handballs...

 

IMO, it's because of the committee of VAR refs. MLS can learn from this. Even two persons looking at the replays would help.

 

Kids these days won't get this. And that's a shame.

 

2022 will just be a hazy shade of winter with the heat coming off the groumd.

 

PLEASE, make this the last game these two do (Japan/Columbia crew). I thought the FIRE duo was bad.
