It makes no damn sense. I think someone put it on the distributed sheet and no one has bothered to double check it.
Egypt alive, but just barely. It's shocking that Russia hasn't allowed a shot on target in the run of play, considering how bad the center backs have actually been. They've allowed a lot of touches inside the box, and been saved mostly by incredibly inept shooting by their opponents.
But VAR is working great, in my opinion. There's really been very few controversial talking points so far as a result of the refs.
I'm genuinely surprised that it's working well, but it has been great. Very quick, the reviews are clear, and the decisions are right.
IMO, it's because of the committee of VAR refs. MLS can learn from this. Even two persons looking at the replays would help.
