Pele will be near impossible to catch but these guys have crazy numbers. Surprised at Romario even if his production came in weaker leagues. I wonder now about Eusebio, Puskas, Gerd Muller and other GOAT goalscorers.
Pele had 64 hat-tricks in regional leagues, that's why it's so high. Romario had more on national level. I tried counting Müller's but there's about 50 goals in 7th tier, and 12 in one time competition, which there's no public record of.
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...s-Brazilian-praises-special-Lionel-Messi.html Neymar was tearing up when talking about Messi. For all the negative press he gets, I can’t believe that Neymar isn’t a good guy at heart with all the love he has for his ex-Barca teammates and all the love they have for him. I think Messi may be even closer to Neymar than Dinho. This aside, Neymar is consistently the only player who makes the game beautiful (to me, personally) — obviously other than Messi.
http://www.90min.in/posts/6306056-l...five-leagues-cr7-not-in-top-50/partners/42326 This, with Messi obviously slowing down from his dribbling heydays.
I heard some comments from a group of Spurs fans who are fed up with Kane ... in their words .. “trying to be like Messi “ , basically overplaying and coming unstuck ! Oddly enough when he was clear through on goal and just needed to lash it in today .... he resisted the shot turned inside and tried to dribble through two players ... tripped over his own feet and lost possession ! Two passes later and Arsenal scored straight from the break away I’m sure some in here will still argue Kane is worth the £200 million
Nice to see the worlds best player given a masterclass lesson last night Frenkie de Jong's game by numbers vs. Real Madrid: 100% tackles won 100% aerials won 91% passing accuracy 75 touches 6 ball recoveries 3 clearances 2 take-ons completed 1 interception 1 shot blocked
With him starting today , Messi has become the second player with the most games played in La Liga for Barca with 443 passing Iniesta who has 442 Xavi remains at the top with 505 La Liga games.
Are those stats amazing though? Honest question. 100% could mean 1 for 1. One interception and 3 clearences for someone who plays in the middle of the park also doesn’t seem insanely high to me. Whoscored.com, which compiles stats like that and gives an overall rating, gave FDJ the lowest rating among Ajax players that night.
I saw most of the game and aside from one brain warp when he tried to rub salt in Real’s wounds my overplaying ... he was absolutely brilliant
From Twitter: In yesterday's match, Messi lost his balance in the GK's area after a bump in with a defender. After his fall, the Barça players were asking the ref for a penalty. The ref asked for a VAR revision, however, Messi told him he wasn't fouled and asked for the match to be resumed.
Messi passes Iniesta again , this time on the number of games in the Champions league (131) , Iniesta with (130) Xavi as usual with the record (151)
messi with another master class performance today. 2 goals and 2 assists, this is the first time leo get 2 goals and 2 assists in one game in ucl
