Not only that but most goals, most assists, most dribbles, most marked... Not that I bother with Fake d'Or anymore, it's destroyed itself already in the past few seasons. Like Ray Hudson said last game: "Wake me when it's over."

Lol , Pele and Diego are prime example of bitter salty old legends who's opinion change every 24 hours.

Tons of great goalscorers use both legs, I guess everyone of them is better than Messi lol. I guess Pele also thinks players like R Carlos and Rivaldo arent better than great players who use both legs.

Funny that 3 of his most iconic goals came with his right foot. Anybody who says he is one footed doesn't know what they are talking about. But he definitely favors his left side a whole lot more.

Messi has scored 10 freekicks now in 2018. He has 19 in last 4 years.
CR didnt score a single freekicks in 2016, after 50+ attempts. By ratio, he's not even a good freekick taker at all.

Most goals in league games from free-kicks in the past 4 years:

    19: Messi

    18: Juventus
    14: Lyon, Real Madrid, Roma
    13: Bayern
    12: Sampdoria, Monaco, PSG
    11 Chelsea, Liverpool, Milan

No point comparing Messi to players again. We'll start comparing him to clubs. Out of this world.

Instead of Wallnaldo, I think Juve fans should call him Sidenaldo from now on.

    Should've had the first goal+assist double hat-trick.

In honor of Messi winning his 5th Golden Boot today, some quotes:

The best one came from this kid:

"I love everything what Leo does. He is amazing. But the most important thing, he is a very good person.”

After winning the 2005 Ballon d'Or, Ronaldinho was asked:

"How does it feel to be the best player in the world?"

    He responded with:

"Best in the world? (laughs) This award says it, but I’m not even the best player at Barcelona..."

He was talking about an 18 years old Messi.

    ———————————————————

Ruud van Nistelrooy (Rapenaldo’s ex-teammate): “Messi, he’s one of a kind. I think he’s arguably the best player in history we’ve ever had”

    ———————————————————

Antonio Cassano: “Ronaldinho is better than Cristiano Ronaldo, but neither are as good as Leo Messi.”

    ———————————————————

Real Madrid hardcore fan and La Liga President:

La Liga president and self confessed Real Madrid fan Javier Tebas on Messi today:

"It doesn't matter what team you support, if you criticise Messi and say he's not the best in the world currently, you don't understand football, in this era now he's way ahead of Ronaldo"
    [Sport]

    ———————————————————

Paul Scholes: “I think about the great players with whom I have shared a pitch: Eric Cantona, Zinedine Zidane, Pirlo, Xavi, Cristiano Ronaldo – and the greatest of them all is Messi."

    ——————————————————

    Also:

Messi is the first ever footballer on this planet to complete a PENTA-TREBLE of individual trophies (5 Ballon d'Ors, 5 Golden Boots, 5 LaLiga POTY Awards).

Messi has 234 Man-of-the-Match awards out of 435 games for Barcelona and Argentina (excluding Copa Del Rey)!
