Everytime CR and his fans are about to have a good time, it never last long because Messi will does something like this. He already had a hat trick too for Barca last month.

CR fans always talk about CR surpassing Messi while the truth is... CR is few years older and has been WPOTY, CL top scorer, league top scorer before Messi. It's Messi who's equalled and surpassing him.

Cristiano does have a few years on Messi but the funny part is Messi has always been better than Cristiano at every point of time. Cristiano's first breakout season was in the season Kaka won the WPOY award. Guess who was runner-up that year. Not Cristiano - but Messi.

Cristiano did start the concept of 40 plus goals per season striker (courtesy of Jose Mourinho) and Messi decided - if Cristiano can do it, so can I. Its just Cristiano Ronaldo.. so Cristiano was ahead of Messi initially as a goal-scorer, but now Messi surpasses Cristiano as a goal-scorer also.

Of course, the basic difference between Cristiano and Messi is that Messi creates and scores goals- Cristiano just scores tap-ins. The stats books will say Cristiano scored a few goals in qualifiers to take Portugal to the world cup - same as Messi, what the stats book dont see is that Messi carried Argentina to the world cup, in the case of Cristiano, the Portugal team carried Cristiano. The stats books will talk about how Cristiano scored a double against mighty Andorra to win the match for Portugal - same as what Messi did against Ecuador, but the differemce is that the goals Messi scored against Ecaudor will literally chances he created out of nothing whereas the goals Cristiano scores against European powerhouse Andorra were tap-ins at best. Ever wonder why Cristiano fans love to talk only in terms of stats only

Fastest ever to 600 1st level club games? I was looking Xavi's numbers and was surprised that he reached over 1000 senior games. Wasn't on the news anywhere.

If Lionel Messi misses his next 507 shots in La Liga, he'll have the same conversion rate as Cristiano Ronaldo (2.08%)

Where did you find this 1000 number?
Does this only include matches with Barca?

He was at 764 when he announced on May 21, 2015 that he was leaving Barca.
The club still had three matches to play:
    23 May v Deportivo (J38)
30 May v Athletic (Copa final)
6 June v Juventus (Champions final).
So he should officially be at 767 senior matches with Barca.

Add in his 133 international appearances for Spain and the number reaches an even 900.

100 matches in Qatar since June 2015?
    Possible, I suppose.

    767 Barca
    133 Spain
    61 Barca B
    56 Al Sadd

Well, I can't say I'm shocked that I didn't hear any news on his 1000th game and I'll leave it at that.

Saw a video showing how Bartomeu and Messi basically avoided each other during the award presentation. For the picture, Bartomeu positioned himself away from Messi. You would think the President would be right by the player in the photo. Messi hasn't re-signed yet.
