McCall Zerboni is the shortest player in WPS to score two headers in one season.

McCall Zerboni is one of only two players in WPS who knows where Diamond Bar, California is.

The WNY Flash picked red uniforms to go with the red in McCall Zerboni’s hair.

Tasha Kai gets her hair styling ideas from McCall Zerboni.

McCall Zerboni can kick box your butt from Rochester to Buffalo and back.

The only reason McCall Zerboni is not on The US Women’s National Team is that Pia Sundhage does not know about the position called Outside Defending Midfield Striker.

The Health Channel has offered McCall Zerboni a new show called Zumba with Zerboni, but McCall is holding out for Tae-Bo with Zer-bo.

I disagree, but people think McCall Zerboni is more athletic than sexy. That explains why McCall raised more money for cancer by selling her uniform jersey than she did selling her bra.

McCall Zerboni is more popular in Atlanta than Abby Wambach or Herschel Walker.

Marta insisted Joe Sahlen sign McCall Zerboni. Marta knows that the LA Sol shut down after trading away McCall and the Gold Pride shut down because they didn’t have McCall at all. Marta didn’t want Joe to make the same mistake.

McCall Zerboni’s grandfather used to make ice rink machines. He had to stop because people would not buy something with such a funny name. He named them McCall.

McCall Zerboni’s twin sister, Blake, is 5’-2”. They could never do a ‘twin-switch’ in school because Blake was so much taller. Their mom, who likes giving out names, calls Blake “Stretch.”

I think she deserves a national team callup. She's played well all year. She scores goals, gets assists, etc. Think about it: we are thin at backups for wing mids. Heath and ohara haven't hit their potential, why not try zerboni? I don't think she's an answer for the future but I think she deserves a call up at least.

The reason McCall Zerboni wasn't listed as a candidate for any of the end-of-year awards was because it's a forgone conclusion that she will win all of them. Even Coach of the Year.

McCall Zerboni wasn't drafted by the WPS, the WPS was drafted by McCall Zerboni.

On the San Clemente, CA wikipedia page there is a section on notable residents. Then there is the section on McCall Zerboni.

McCall Zerboni for the Flash this year is 4th in goals, 3rd in assists, 1st in goals per shots taken and 10th in minutes played. Nice write up by WPS for her May Player of the Month honor:

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (June 14, 2011)- Two goals and two assists, coupled with her consistent delivery of hard work earned Western New York Flash Forward/Midfielder McCall Zerboni the majority share of votes, and the honor of being named Women's Professional Soccer's Player of the Month for May.

The Flash's 5-0 record in May can be largely attributed to the tireless work of Zerboni, who appeared in all five May games for the Flash, while logging a total of 353 minutes on the field. The San Clemente, CA native earned top honors in Week 6 as the Player of the Week after notching an assist and two goals, including the game-winner in the Flash's 3-2 victory over the Boston Breakers on Friday, May 13. She assisted the equalizer in the Flash's May 29th match against the Philadelphia Independence, and her hard work in this game turned out to be the difference when she was clipped, while dribbling through Philly's 18 yard box, which set up the game wining PK.

Zerboni's achievement marks the first time in franchise history a Flash player is honored as the Player of the Month.

The veteran midfielder/forward has been a player in WPS since 2009, when she played for the Los Angeles Sol team that captured the inaugural season championship. She spent the 2010 with the Atlanta Beat, and joined Western New York as a free-agent during the 2010-11 off-season.

The WPS Player of Month is selected through votes cast both by fans online and a panel of journalists from the North American Soccer Reporters.
