    Red Star Belgrade>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Barcelona
    German Mess>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Messi

also means Marin will play CL vs Napoli, PSG and Liverpool. Easy group!!!!:D

who needs Ozil when you have Marin.

wasn't Marin picked for the 2010 WC ahead of Reus? lol.

Serdar Tasci was also ahead of Mats Hummels back in 2010. What a crazy time it was back then. Badstuber was the major CB prospect who was supposed to be ahead of them all but injuries ruined his career

yeah completely forget about Tasci, lol.

looking back, the amount of Stuttgart players at that WC.

    2010 WC
    Khedira, Tasci,Gomez, Badstuber, Cacau, Aogo

what's interesting is that 2010 WC is when Low established the core players that became undroppable no matter how they played. The rest of the 2010 WC players and the ones from EC08 he easily dropped most of them. Back when he was picking players on form...

2010 was an interesting selection year with a lot going on in that squad. It was the start of a new youth generation with Müller, Özil, Khedira, Kroos and Boateng entering the scene.

Schweini, Neuer, Poldi, Mertesacker, Lahm and Gomez were around their mid-20s.

Jogi started hating Kiessling afterwards even he remained a solid BL player lol

Trochowski, Marin, Tasci and Jansen fell off the most. Badstuber and Aogo as well but I guess they're at least still among the BL.

    Christian Lell and Andeas Ottl.

Both were starters for Bayern at one point! [emoji23]

Comment was made that Max Meyer could be the next Lewis Holtby. Unfortunate but this may be the situation if things do not improve for him.

    lol, mean but true.

Bayern killed this player. I still prefer young prospects with potential don't play in Bayern. There is still no real plan for promotion of players.

wouldn't be surprised if Tedesco played a role in that, shifting him to DM, playing all over the place etc,

as for Passlack, just 2 bad loans in a row.He should try 2BL next.

    Max Meyer – Crystal Palace
‘Palace pulled off the remarkable coup of signing one of the most talented German players of his generation – who had long been linked with Arsenal and Liverpool – and it now feels like a particularly bad joke that he is playing second fiddle to Jeffrey Schlupp.’

That was Winty’s verdict on Meyer’s predicament a month ago and the former Schalke star has fared little better since. At least Roy Hodgson offered him a couple of starts but the 23-year-old didn’t see the last quarter in either defeat to Chelsea or Tottenham.

Meyer may argue that he isn’t being used correctly. His best form came after being switched to a holding midfield role, but Palace have utilised him further forward with little success so far. His own attitude was questioned while he ran down his contract at Schalke in acrimonious circumstances. Apparently, those around Meyer believe him to be better than he has proved and the evidence so far suggests Schalke were right to be wary of his demands. Whichever way you look at it, Meyer is not fulfilling the potential it was thought he had and he appears unlikely to do so any time soon at Selhurst Park.

BILD: You played in your youth with many good kickers. Who do you think was the best?

Narey: "I would choose Samed Yesil. A great center forward, who moved from Bayer to Liverpool in 2012 but then had a lot of injuries. Currently he plays for KFC Uerdingen. "

pretty much those double and more injuries ruined Yesil.

Yesil and Okan Aydin are two notable players from the 94 age group that have amounted to nothing in their pro careers

Pretty alarming how little Uerdingen rates Yesil's ability to play in 3.Liga. He was not included in their match day roster at all again today. But they somehow used him in a lower level Cup competition last weekend in the Reviersport-Niederrheinpokal. Fwiw he scored off the bench in that Cup match.

let's be real Yesil is lost talent 100%, dude was struggling in the Greek League which is why he went to 3rd Liga. Although wouldn't be surprised if he's basically 3rd Liga/RL level player now.
