Sounds like a good idea, seeing as how loaning out players is a Zubi specialty that has yet to pay off. Hope you don't mind that I edited the thread title.

We'll need everyone's help to keep track of everyone though, can someone provide a list of current loaned players and their clubs, maybe what their projected status is currently (e.g., first team, bench, oblivion, etc.)?

Some of these guys are gone and should be discussed in the Former Players thread. How many of these guys are currently on loan though?

While I agree, one can see that Rafinha is gonna be a success in near future.

I would only follow the loaned out players and the ones we sold but have an active buy back clause.

It's all down to opinion .... when I've seen our youngsters play and looked forward to seeing them progress it's always a disappointment to see them cast into the gutter ..... I still think Giovani Dos Santos could do a job for us on the right side ....

Of those three I would bet Suarez could actually come back and feature for the first team some day.

I read it's a 2 year loan. Did Sevilla get a buy option? Can we bring him back next season if we want to?

Sevilla has a buy option BUT if Sevilla exercises their buy option than Barca can trump it by paying a premium above and beyond that option. So, if no exercise by either them Suarez is ours again in 2 years, if instead Sevilla exercise then we have to immediately either give them back all the exercise funds they were willing to pay to us, PLUS a premium for developing Suarez. Effectively, if we think he can help the first team in 2 years then he played for them for free (the premium we pay them over their purchase option is enough to pay all his wages for the 2 years). It is actually a good deal for both teams. If he is Barca quality in 2 years we are thankful he got great experience in La Liga, well worth the premium. And if he is not then hopefully they exercise as he is still a great squad player or better for Sevilla.

This thread existed before back when we had a ton of overpaid players on loan whom we could not sell as their Barca salaries were too darn high to get anyone interested in paying more than salary (that is no transfer fees, 100% of salary at best, less than 100% at worst). That was a hangover from the Laporta era and it included Caceres, Henrique, Keirrison, Hleb, and one or two others if memory serves. The newer era includes some of that (Affelay, Bojan, Song if we can find a club for him, Tello (why did we not just sell him)) but also includes some players we actually hope to develop with PT at bigger clubs (bigger than Barca B at least) see Rafinha, Deulofeu last year possibly going forward, Suarez.

Also, as stated, worth tracking those we sold (or loaned) with buyback options (formerly folks like Botia, Romeu, Jeffren; now Suarez).

Tello at Porto with a great goal assist! to Jackson Martinez.

Yes, folks, you read that right. An assist. By Tello. He passed the ball. On purpose.
(We also see him coming in from the right wing here.)

The Tello secret! If he has no option but to move laterally to his left he might, just maybe, might pass. :D

Looked like Messi's goal from the weekend.

Who was that who punked out the Nastic guy in the midfield and set up Blondie? His shirt looked like #10 which is Jose Antonio Reyes. Was that him?

Yup. It's Reyes. He has the captain's armband.
    Great pass by him, too.

I realized if we are tracking players we own who are on loan, or players we sold but have buyback rights to, it may be worth including the 3 Santos' players whom we got rights to buy as part of the Neymar deal. Not many details exist but you may recall we paid Santos something like 7M-7.9M Euros for rights of first refusal to these players. Frankly, I think it was a way to get more money to Santos and less to the 3rd party investors who owned parts of Neymar's rights. http://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/names-santos-trio-secured-barcelona-revealed-3978609

Victor Andrade has already moved to Benfica this summer, transfermarkt suggests his value at 1M. Presumably we still have a right to future transfers for him or maybe this summer was our chance and now it is gone. Details are not readily available. Victor plays all 3 forward positions and is a 1995 player, still 18 till September. This article suggests that we paid 3M just for his rights but elected not to buy, Santos rescinded his contract, and he signed for Benfica for free. Very weird, may prove that the money paid was really just to get Santos on board with the Neymar transfer in a way where Santos could keep 100%: http://www.weloba.com/article/victor-andrade-signs-for-benfica

The youngest is Gabigol (Gabriel Barbosa) just 17, primarily a 2nd striker but can also play striker and right wing. Estimated at 1M Euros value. Still with Santos.

Finally Giva is 20, primarily a striker. Still with Santos and estimated to be worth 650K Euros.

We've managed to dump Song off in East London and told him we'd be back sometime next year to pick him up.

Deolofeu was pretty bad today when he came on. Such a frustrating player.

    Denis Suarez was solid though.

Some love from the mothership to the loanouts today: http://www.fcbarcelona.com/football/first-team/detail/article/life-out-on-loan

Still very curious who is paying what % of these Barca players salaries. If I had to guess we might be picking up a portion of Affelay's salary and Song's salary, in the first case just waiting till Ibri's contract ends (next summer 2015), in the latter case hoping Song can again prove useful in the EPL such that someone will actually pay us a fee to take him permanently (assuming we still have no need for him due to serious injury and the transfer ban being in effect). Song still has 2 years left under contract to us and with good play at West Ham they or a richer EPL club (which tends to pay closer to Barca salaries) may buy him from us.

Ibri had an all time high value estimate of 15M, now at 3M due to injuries; Song peaked at 28.5M before his barca transfer (we paid 19M) and his current estimate is 14M. All estimates are from transfermkt, however they often overvalue the fees we may receive as we put players on a higher pay scale than all but a dozen or so other top clubs, so it is a challenge for other clubs to even pay the Barca wages to one of our former players much less a transfer (or loan) fee too.

In the case of DSuarez, Deulofeu, and Tello all are on lower wages and I expect that the borrowing club is paying 100% of wages. In Tello's case (under contract till 2018, 9M in current value, 12M high) they are also paying 2M euros for the loan then have the option to buy him for a further 8M. In Suarez's case (under contract till 2017, 5M in estimated current value all time high) the loan was partial consideration for the Rakitic sale to us, they have a buy right, but we can trump it, all in 2 years. In Deulofeu's case (under contract till 2017, 12M in value from a 15M high) he is just on a 1 year loan.
