In the continuing adventures of what position will Wes play this week, he is listed as the RB in the starting 11.

McKennie starts today for Schalke against Freiburg. Wright does not make the 18.

    McKennie has played so far:

    CM vs Dortmund
    SS vs Bayer
    CAM vs Wolfsburg
    ST vs. 'Gladbach
    B2B vs Dusseldorf
    DM @ Bayern
    RB vs Freiburg

Not sure if this is impressive or worrisome.

I'd only be worried if he were positioned as GK.

McKennie’s versatility reminds me of David Alaba

    Half ends 0-0.

Schalke dominated possession, but never looked threatening, and now they're going to have to play the second half with a man down because of a poorly timed challenge from their CM Serdar at the end of the half. Schalke also had a shout for a penalty at one point due to a hand ball, but the ref and VAR officials ruled it unintentional.

McKennie's looked fine at RB, considering he's being played out of position. He's gotten forward here and there to help keep the ball moving and has helped win possession in the middle third, but he's not really being used much in the attack and he hasn't really been tested on defense yet either.

For the record. I know I'm old. But I have no interest in seeing anyone's tongue but my spouses ever again. End of rant.

That red card was harsh for Schalke by the way.

Schalke are the worst team to watch in Europe. Tedesco is boring.

Weston has played fine at rb. But once again, his team’s games are a snoozer

I have to remark again on how good Wes is at winning headers. He seems to win every 50/50 ball in the air.

Wes seems competent at RB and in general. Which makes him in the top half of the Schalke players. Active since he’s defense and playing a man down.

    I switched back to Adams.

Watching BeIn sports in the Middle East. Both the English PbP guy and the very colorless German color guy are gushing about him. As I write that, TA maked an absolutely stunning assist! Wow, I want to see this kid play for the NT!

Lol I was about to chastise you for being harsh on a guy for less than perfect English (who I assumed was probably an English as a 2nd language speaker) ... and then I realized you were bashing YOURSELF! LOL

I think it says more negative about the coaching staff and management than McKennie. It just seems like they have deficiencies all over the lineup, and either Tedesco can't find the right way to consistently arrange current personnel to correct things, or the management is not giving him enough good players to do the job. I think Tedesco really rates McKennie and just shuffles him around to try to plug the hole du jour.

Wild speculation being passed off as fact. Sheeesh

At this point in this video’s usage it could be a continuous repost of itself as a reply to itself. Like standing between two mirrors

And yes, I forgot the sarcasm emoji for the MB post

I missed most of the second half but it looks like this one ended in a scoreless draw.

The mistake was from the auto spell thingy. My mistake was posting about TA on a WM thread, and your mistake was not picking up on that. But yes, I'm excited about Tyler hooking up with my Dallas homie Weston. Things are looking up.

I’m 5’7 and so always keep an eye out for players my height. 5’7 players (even those listed taller, like Messi) either look like little wisps, kids, or bowling balls.

He looks 5’10 - 6’ to my eye.

Personally, I don't care how tall he is. He jumps high enough to win headers over much larger players, so what does it matter?

He played well today, and he did it while out of position. I'm frustrated that Tedesco keeps moving him around -- and yet, I'm excited that his manager has that much faith in him, and I think the wide variety of positions will ultimately make him a more intelligent and well-rounded player. But it's much more fun watching him play the 8.

US players (outside of keepers) were never tall to begin with. Donovan being 5'8 so far.
